hey i was planning on gettin some stls in 177 (07/08 model but new in wrap) for this up commin season. But then i saw the boone maqic sticks and started to lean twards them. Im 5' 4" and the 177 stls seemed like a stretch and the 165 sticks seemed about right....so far ive heard good things about boone and was wondering what you guys think. i ski on the east coast and do 3/4 park and the rest groomers and the stls sound like they might be a little soft for the shitty east coast ice shit...lemmie kno what you think...thanks

i am also 5'4 and got 171 which are plenty big lengthwise... 176 will be way to big for you, if i were you i would go for line anthems... great ski, fat but still good for park... just got my spirals and they look sick!
boones seem cool and all but i'd give them a season to work out their kinks before buying

4frnts hold really well on ice from my experience. I wouldnt go with boone just because theyre a new company and havent worked out all the glitches yet. not trying to knock the company, but it takes a few years to get product dialed.

If you centermount they should be fine. If you are used to long skis/ like long skis they will definitely be fine. But if you are just starting out they might be too much.

For other companies starting out, this might be true... but Boone learned from other companies mistakes, and made sure to make quality product.
We didnt just make skis, and hit the market running. We spent the entire 08 season testing and testing and testing our skis, over and over again. We have broken one pair of skis, and that was simply because it fell off a ski rack going 85 down interstate 80. It was still skiable after that, and only broke after about 5 hours of skiing..
I'm being totally honest here too. Ask any of our other riders, and they will tell you how stoked they are. They arent being paid enough to bullshit about our skis, so ask away.
We have worked out all of our glitches already, and have it dialed..
The topsheets dont chip easily at all. The edges are fat, and burly as hell. The bases are just like any other bases, but so far, they have held up really well too.
If you have any questions about them, or want me to show you pics of some boones with over 100 days on them, just let me know, and i'll show you.

I rode on the Magic Sticks and they were sick. Not sure about the frnts though. I talked to one of the Boone team riders and they were stoked on 'em and said they hadn't had any problems with them. Not sure if that helps? I like the fact they are a new company with some fresh shit.
