Ya i wanna buy some new skis but idk which ones to get and id like to get either some nice armadas or some 4frnts so id like to get your opignions on it
I'd definitely get Armadas because you put 'nice' in front of their name and you left out 4frnt from the being nice to company names...
Armadas are so so so so so nice you should definitely buy se of their nice skis.
Grow up and choose a ski because it fits your need not because you want a brand name. unlike your Calvin Klien Boxer color choice this purchase will affect your life tremendously.
get the AR6's dude, very versitle and if u hit rails all the time they wont get f'd as fast as the pipe cleaners and they ski better than the el ray. plus u wont have to wax the bases every other day like the pipe cleaners. the t-halls are not good all mountain, so unless u never want to leave the park i would reccomend the AR6 to you. they're bomb ive had 3 pairs
Alright, everypost except a few are totally unhelpful, including the original. You didn't give us height/weight/skier ability/favorite type of skiing/previous skis etc.
That being said, I agree with the AR6. They seem to be the most versatile, and are meant for more jibbing than the Pipe Cleaner. They don't have the Race Base that the Pipe Cleaner does, but they still ski well and hold up throughout the park, and all mountain, if you ski them there.
alright continuining off this thread instead of starting my own i was considering buying the ar6s i would probably do 60 percent park skiing should i go for the center mount on like a 171 166 (im 6 foot 160pounds)
umm personally i'd go neither, bang for your buck theyre not very durable, or light and are good but not great to ski on, personally i think for a hyped ski line offers better value for cash and their skis will last nearly as long
if you are notoriously brutal on your skis, buy head, i have wrecked every pair of skis ive ever owned in about two months, but the heads i have now have held up much better than anything in the past, and the edges have stayed in and havent even cracked yet which had been the major problem for me, i even snapped a pair of stls in half. Also im 6'2 190lbs just for reference, although i ski strictly park, mostly rails
also for the same pricepoint as the armadas and 4frnts i have found rossignol to be more durable and just as fun to ski on
ya armadas are good but expensive, i know a kid that tides for 4frnt but i never have so idk, another company is moment, they got some super sick park, pow or all around skis for pretty good price
t-hall is a ripp off this year
they stiffened it up and its the exact same thing as the ar6 with a different graffic and more $$$$$$$$$$$
id say ar6 only good things ive heard from them and thats what im getting
well this whole argument that everybody seems to be having between armadas n 4fronts is simple, ive used both, if u want to be able to shred pow while hit big kickers u use the 4fronts, because they give much more stability, the armadas on the otgher hand r purely rail skis, they don;t scratch, ive had my armadas for a whie n ive bn smacking rails for a fkn long time, so it all depends on ut tipe of rider u are
ways you improve your post: 1. Give reference to which skis you have actually used from both brands. 2. Talking about shredding pow and hitting rails in a comparison it would imply that you aren't talking about a similar model on ski. 3. Did you ride these 4frnts that you skied n rails? Because they hold up amazingly. 4. Did you ride these armadas that you skied on jumps? Because they are amazing at holding you up.
Don't swagger in here with your listen to me it's simple speech when you have given an awful explanation of both ski brands. If you have a more detailed response then i'll listen to it. But that up there would not be helpful to any buyer considering either brand. Peace
man if your going for armada's go ar6 the t halls suck not versatile at all
and the ar6's are a sick park ski but also hold up everywhere on the mountain
i'm about 6'3 and 180 and i got the 181's center mounted
they are super fun
also if you want a good deal go to al's ski barn
they are way cheaper then anything and super reliable
i got mine within like a week of ordering for a lot cheaper then in stores
I have had my ar6's for a year now and they are holdin up perfectly fine in the park and on nice groomers now if u want a ski that will fall apart quickly get liens
the new TNK is supposed to be sick all around. linda like something in between the STL and MSP. but you cant go wrong with the T-Hall or AR6. the new T-hall is stiffer this year so all mtn ability will be increased
i had a pair of armadas and a pair of 4frnts which were basically identical dimensions. i like the armadas WAY more. but its just a personaly preference. i like the armadas cuz they are softer/ lighter/ more fun. 4frnt makes a damn fine pair of skis, but they are too stiff ofr my taste
Ive tryed many armadas and I can't get to like them. Right now I have 09 4frnt MSP and EHP.
The MSP are the stiffer all around you'll find (at least between this two brands) and they clean the floor with AR6s.
For deep pow EHPs are fkn amazing they carve like nobody. A bit soft on the tip but the rocker and reverse sidecut (very little) are soooo fkn easy to ski agressively.
