so wallisch calls me and says... "yo, check out the armada website and look at jocobs profile" so i do so, and at the end of it, its says..."worst skitrend you witnessed?: tall tees outside of jacket and the 'brogan ride-away" hahaha in my opinion jocob is the worlds absoulute best skier, no one is even near the talent he is, his style of clothing and skiing is the best, and whoever doesnt have long blonde/brown hair covering thier one eye, or whoever doesnt wear CHEAP MONDAY skin type jeans to show off thier ass should just die. no hate just my opinion!

Word- I can definetly see how being under pressure to compete all the time would be stressfu/ take away from some of the enjoyment.  I don't even think I would want to be pro for this same reason.  Its nice to be able to do what you want on any given day.  If you're feeling like throwing down then its a great time but sometimes you just feel like floating some threes. fives or skiing BC.

On a side note the hate is retarded we should respect both skiiers for their different syles.  They are both obviously good at what they do and I enjoy watching both.  Wester had to see this coming though- calling out someone elses style in sport where so much emphasis IS placed in style.

brogan=style nothing wrong with that in my opioin thats way cooler then double flips. It is in horrible taste to say something like that and most of the crew that brogan rides with does that same thing so now i guess jacob is calling out almost all of the 4bi9 crew and jibberish. And in my opioinin those crews are the steeziest most awsome bunch of skiers there is. So jacob go fuck ur self o yeah no disrespect!!

Think of it as the difference between being a professional versus just doing it for fun. When you do it for fun, you've got no pressure, no expectations beyond your own, no contracts or obligations, no pressure to come back from injury or press yourself to your furthest limits every single season, every single year.

When it becomes your profession, you still love what you're doing, but there added pressures that can weigh on you in bad ways... Besides, living in Sweden, a guy needs to get out to a tropical place every once in a while to remain sane.

just throwin this out there, but... brogan's one of the most fun kids to ride with, ever. i've never ridden with someone else who's constantly just super stoked to be skiing. the kid's dedicated like you wouldnt believe, and he'd be content just hiking a down rail for hours, but i guess that's not good enough for some other people. props to jon for getting some love from this industry.

Except, in Europe it's not affiliated with juvenile social awkwardness and american inventions like myspace, nor does the "emo" style reflect negatively on you, or associate you with whinny pre-teens who are a second away from ending their lives because their parents wouldn't take them to Hot Topic... Well Jacob Wester was trying real hard to be gangsta in his early (young) years, so whats he dissin for. We all do our thing, and it aint even that long ago that Jacob was a bit like Brogan, in a more early 2000's way. Isn't that a gangsta rag hangin from his pocket in one of the armada edits?
I dont have a lot of respect for Jacob, he's an alright nice guy, but i dont like his approach to skiing. I've personally heard him say that he only skis to support his surfing addiction, and that he's really tired of skiing and the industry. To me thats an insult to all of us that live and breathe skiing, and it makes me dislike his comment about Brogan even more.

Brogan I dig your skiing but this made me lose some respect for you. I think that if you want to enter the world of the pros you need to carry your self like one, and calling another established skier out on something so pointless is not the way to do it. With that said it was still lame for wester to say that shit.
