Alright, what park ski?

I don´t want to do this thread but I just cant decide between these three skis.
4frnt tnk 175
armada ar6 176
salomon suspect 176

Its supposed to be a 100% park ski and I will be doing mostly jumps with them. I have 08 4frnt stls for rails and jibbing.
I want a stable, really poppy, lightweight ski with a midflex.
I´m 5´9" and weigh about 148 pounds and I have to say that I´m a pretty good skier.

maybe it wont make any difference which one of these i choose, they seem pretty similar.

help me out!

its the 09 models im looking at. maybe anyonw have ridden these skis or know much about them.

They do seem pretty similar though no one seems to be able to give a solid review on the suspects. I like the sound of the edge armor though. i haven't ever really like the flex on the foil or dumont though, but things have obviously changed so will be checking them out asap. But team riders seem in love with them.

The TNK is a solid ski and as you know 4frnt already may be a solid choice. i would also look at the moment reno jib if you're looking at the TNK, as it is a bit stiffer than the AR6 and maybe the suspect.

AR6 is a solid choice, but if this is a jump only/mainly ski I would definitely go for the Pipe Cleaner, faster base, stiffer flex, kills it more than the 6er.

Hope you get the ski, you'll have fun with whichever.

to be honest, it is a park ski, as long as the flex seems good just go with whichever one is easiest on your wallet. Every company has some gimmik they put in their skis and tell you about with fancy graphics so they can charge you an extra $50-$100 for the skis. Go with the cheap one, and save the money to get a good pair of boots that fit you, don't kill your feet and still offer performance. Good boots will allow you to enjoy skiing alot more then good skis.

yea it shouldn´t matter that much which one i choose but im leaning towards the tnk:s cause i liked the stl:s and want a bit wider ski. but ive heard they are really stiff this year...
keep giving me advice.

Salomon's construction in their skis has never been too good. But the new suspects and dumonts look legit for this year. I would go with the suspect. My second choice would be the Ar6's.

You should definitly look into the moment reno jib.  From what ive heard it is very light and it is stiff so it will be great on jumps, but its also very poppy. i have to say though, the ar6 is a solid ski. i loved mine.

reno jibs would be good. and of the three skis you listed, i'd go with the suspect. i don't think TNKs or AR6s are quite as poppy as you were describing.

Some companies make park skis and others companies make skis that they call park skis. I dont think center mount/symetical flex a/symetical side cuts/ softer tips and talls/ beefy edges/ect are grimmics.  I think there is a huge difference and i think real park skis are way more fun then just some ski that is marketed as a park ski.

me too, i do think going with the one thats easiest on your wallet also makes sense.

as for the tnks, definitely stiffer this year, but its still quite poppy

 I dunno if this matters to you much but I saw a pair of 3 day old suspects in squaw at the end of the season when they were doin demos n stuff and the topsheet was totally buggered!! Apparently its real easy to take massive chips out of them. Shame, they look so fly!

I would say prolly go for the ar6's. I have always heard good things about them. If you hit mostly jumps though def check out the pipecleaners. The race base is very nice! I skied them all last year and they are so sick on jumps. Pop and carve nice and really stable on landings. you can hit rails with them too. I haven't heard much about the suspects just that they feel like damp and not very poppy, but idk the graphics are sick on those.

I rode the TNKs all last year.  I had a lot of fun on them, and they did not blow up like some people have reported.  I put them through a lot of abuse as well.  They were kind of stiff, but I ended up enjoying the stiffness (thats what she said?) .  They were super poppy, but extremely stable.  The cool thing about them (180) is that they were 189 underfoot, so they could dominate crud, and maybe even a few turns in powder. 

I would also look into the k2 disorderly.

Ar6 is supposedly lighter this year, very solid choice. Moment Reno jibs... also nice ski. The amplid antidogma are also supposed to be poppy...

from my experiences with armada i would definitely think alot about those

do u want a symetrical ski... reno jib?

reno jibs.  seriously i just bought mine yesterday, and ive ridden them before, and they are super poppy, medium-stiff flex, super light weight, durable, and hand made(which means there is extra attention in every ski they make.)
