My sticks have been used two seasons now, still living strong but have gone through a ton a shit. From cat skiing pow in copper, to ice and rock in Ontario. I love everybit of these warrior sticks, beaten or not, i am thinking of upgrading though. Show me what the damage of yoru sticks is, haev a great weeknd everone, cheers
These badboys are pretty beat. They were new at the beginning of this season and due to injuries I got half as many days as I would have liked to. The bases are pretty thrased and despite my best efforts to alternate sides one ski has way more damage than the other. That being said they were the first park skis I've ever owned to last an entire season of everyday use.
No actually, although the one picture makes it look like it. They're actually 181cm Scratch FS's. They're mounted about 2cm ahead of center so they have more tail than tip, and that picture looks a little bit warped.
damn if i was at home i could post a pick of my MIPs. they are so trashed its redic. they've both been snapped in half at the nose area and are missing a shitload of edge and topsheet and base
Why? Replacing those skis is like buying a new car because your old one has 100,000 miles on it. The damage is mostly surface, which doesn't affect performance or the life of the ski whatsoever. The cracked edge is up near the nose where it probably isn't going to get hit again. My Public Enemies have surface damage almost as bad as that except way more of it and the edges are cracked in like four places on each ski and all of them are right in the middle of the ski where they're likely to get hit again.. those are my backcountry skis this year.. I don't have money for new gear, if it doesn't look spiffy enough to sell run that shit into the ground, that's the way.
I absolutely hate scratching my skis, I go around things just so they don't get ruined, I even use my friends skis when I do urban just so I don't mess the bases.. Basically I could put them up on NS and say they're new and everyone would believe me, really they have 30+ days and I have the Scratch 120 bindings (white, impossible to not scratch, but i did it!)
/end claim
A couple years a ago i snapped a pair of junkers in half on a 80 footer. And this year i got a pair of new blends and on the second day up i dropped like 15ft onto a rock and like dented the shit out of the base.
i might post a picture i might not but here is a list for now...
05/06 invaders
1 season
multiple edge cracks
edge ripping out of 1 nose and 1 tail
top sheet chipping down into the core all over the ski
delam on every tip
bases are the only bit of this ski that have held together, after dropped cliffs onto rocks, riding over dirt and rock patches late season for fun, rock rides, and rails all the time and all i have is a few deep scratches
