Pretty interesting (and funny) piece on the psychological state of those who deliberately shun logic in order to believe JFK was killed by the American Beef Council or September 11th was accomplished by George W. Bush personally flying remote-controlled military jets into the Twin Towers and launching a missile at the Pentagon, etc.

^Yeah, that was also good.  We talked a lot about paranoid schizophrenia in one of my classes last semester and it definitely made me think, "This is what '9/11 truthers' have."  And I don't mean that in a derogatory, mocking, or sarcastic way.  People who so blatantly reject reality literally have real, diagnosable mental illness.

To sum up for those out there who don't really do the whole "reading" thing: conspiracy theories are  basically a coping mechanism for people terrifed by their own insignificance.
