hi everyone so this winter i am thinking of taking a trip. just to kind of get out of colorado for a little bit. i am looking for some opinions on places that would be good preferrably outside the US. also if they have skiing it would be a plus but im looking more for culture
ive been to both northern and southern germany, and to austria. those along with hawaii and virginia were my favorite trips. i can probably give you a lil advice on what to see (or not) in hamburg, germany rothemburg, germany and innsbruck/ the tyrol region, austria
anywhere in south america, it is completely amazing and is more passionate than anywhere else in the world and is FULL of culture. Refer to a thread i made a while ago about my trip through bolivia
it depends. what kind of area are you wanting to go? busy city, not so busy, rural areas close, can you speak diff languages, that sorta stuff. prob with skiing is it'l only be northern hemisphere obviously, so ur kinda limited to europe/some asia. maybe you could do india/turkey like those random updates of mtns in places we dont even know exist. but europe is prolly ur best bet. also depends on how much time you have.
i went to france with my school this past april as part of a 2 week exchange and it was cool. i got to live on a ski resort for a week with a chef. it was a really rural area. 100 people in the town where the resort is and it was huuuuuge. they had a cheese factory near by too. but then not too far away was a more populated town and nice vacationish areas. the next week we went to paris and stayed in a hostel in the city. it was cool cause we got to see a lot of diff things. if ur into seeing art and a lot of history, esp religious historical stuff then france was real good for that. even if ur not(like me) its still pretty cool to see all this stuff that you've been told about before. and its fun to mess with the gypsies.
