I live in reno(UNR) and I got a pass to sierra and northstar(double whammy). It's gonna be my first year skiing out of tahoe though... so any advice or secret spots or whatever are welcome.

um, just hit northstar, fuck sierra. and i wudnt have even gone northstar really..but okay, so..
the park is pretty nice, but the lift up is a double and INSANELY slow, so that kinda blows, so bring some good tunes or something so you can stay semi-occupied. not much good backcountry for building booters n shit, cuz its overall, a not very steep mountain..not much vertical. but if you do get a powder day, on the new backside, i was told there are SOME spots you could make some, but ive nvr been there to see it so i cant vouch for you there. but last year the park had some huge tables n step downs, and a massive amount of sick rails.

yeh like he said ^^, the park was pretty good last year, and they moved some stuff over to a different part of the mountain, so it's a fast quad now, not a slow double to access it. sometimes they get lazy and don't cut the pipe, which is bad, cuz it's a flat mountain and really no cliffs or chutes or rad lines or places for BC hits at all. except for some stuff in the trees is sometimes pretty cool on the new backside. but anyways, i hit up sugarbowl when the snow falls. that place is the shit!
my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.

I live part time in Tahoe City with my dad and I have a pass at squaw. I dont ski many other places but squaw I know is the best place to go for a good park and steep runs.....alpine on the other hand has an OK park thay dont take good care of it and there pipe is pretty shitty comared to squaws if u can pass for under 12 its only 5$ to ski at squaw...Ive been doing that for the past 3 years and now that Im 15 its pushing it

Northstar was cool, but my parents refuse to take me to Northshore. My grandparents live in South Lake and we always go to Sierra. Its cool though, cuz i live in Gilroy which is 4 hours away, so any terrain park is good enough to me, but Ill still bitch and moan.

If you know where to go at Northstar the terrain can be pretty sick. They have some nice cornices and cliffs and also a few nice back country areas for booters.

I really need to get back to Northstar and put my new 4FRNTs to use, Sierra will not do it for my pimpass skis.

Squaw on park days, sugar bowl on powder days, and homewood on windy days when the big resorts are closed, or for building jumps in the back country.

sierra is nice, but it always seems way over crowded

Yeah, I would rather go to Kirkwood, but my family lives in Sth Lake and it is farther away than Sierra. I think the crowds are not too bad, but old faggoty men w/ 210's and jeans plug up the lift lines at the park. And its true, it does get better every year.

we need to pack sierra with bomb ass skiers this year....to many fucking snowboarders falling on the face of tables...falling on their asses on the knuckle and sitting at the base of a table for 10 mins as they try and figure out how to get up from the tangled mess they got themselves into, skiers just get it...life in general

Not being able to speak is not the same as not speaking. You seem as if you like to talk. I like to let people talk who like to talk. It makes it easier to find out how full of shit they are.
