Replying to Well shit, i'm bored and in a cast. how about a thread about style?

Tex.:
I never thought I would create a thread like this but i've been sitting around with a splint on my foot, watching a bunch of videos and i have to say, even though i have nothing against afterbang or riding away it seems like most skier's styles nowadays is becoming sooo uniform. Forget about the argument that says style is transitioning from slow and floaty to spin to win, that argument is dumb. Just go watch a top rated video where you see many good skiers all skiing the exact same way and wearing the exact same gear. It seems like there's no originality and everybody conforms to what some people make look sick rather then developing something for themselves. It reminds me of aerials or moguls which many skiers on this site seem to hate, because in aerials and moguls, things are judged based on your trick and how perfect the positions and movement is. I'm not saying that every skier is like this, but it seems like at least 75% of skiers ski this way.
And I know a lot of people think that riding away is just showing how you can controll a trick, but you can land in controll without riding away.  I guess the real point of this thread is that some people make riding away look soooo damn steezy and some people don't. And if you can't make it look good, you're probably better off not doing it and just letting things come natural.

maybe it's just the pain killers talking but thats what i think..

you might think i'm a faggot or a douche for creating this thread but whatever..
