Is utah more expensive than colorado

So i'm going out west with the fam over winter break and we are deciding between colorado or utah. those of you that have taken vacations to both, which area is more expensive as far as plane tickets, lifts tickets, hotels etc. goes. thanks

utah is cheaper... unless you're trying to live up at alta or something, then it might be in the running against CO, but other than that... colorado is more expensive as far as i can tell

Utah.... way cheaper. 
And at PC if you ski the same day you flied in, you ski for free.  All the ski areas are 45 minute max. from the airport with mad shuttles.  Just that time alone, or gas money if you rent a car makes up for a lot.

I went to Colorado 2 years ago spring break and we stayed in a condo by keystone and got that superpass thing and checked out all the mountains for like 8 days.

Same time/duration one year later we went to Utah we couldn't find a decent condo in Utah so we stayed in a hotel on Alta. We checked out a bunch of different resorts and that costed way more because there's no superpass discount thing.

All in all IMO Colorado was cheaper and better housing/tickets. But I think it depends on your style like if you only ski one mountain the whole time Utah would be cheaper or as cheap as Colorado. And I know it's a matter of timing but we had way better conditions in Utah. Hope that helps.

thats great that you can afford a condo anywhere, but for 95% of the rest of this site dropping a grand to stay at a ski condo is way to much. Only people with money stay at condos, If your coming on vacation you can stay in salt lake for super cheap and be on seven different resorts in 40 minutes. THe only way to get those cheap of prices in CO are to stay in denver which is 2 hours from the resorts. If your living here same deal ,way cheap rent (sugarhood is the shit) and short drive to the mountain.

Utah is cheaper . . . my friends and I planned a trip out west this winter.  We went with a deal in Utah that was by far cheaper than anywhere else out west, Colorado, California or Washington and it was the best trip I have had.

Also Alta, Snowbird, Solitude and Brighton have a superpass deal, where you get a pass that gets you a ticket at any of those resorts. It works out to be a lot cheaper than buying individual tickets and we got our fifth day of skiing for free by booking before a certain date.   Yeah I say Utah is cheaper, plus we got dumped on while we were there
