Curious about drugs?

alright im 16, and yes i do drink. and alot of my friends and alot of people i ski with smoke weed, and i have never done it. mainly because my parents are pretty strict and wouldnt be too pleased about it. and im wondering
1. should i just try it?
2. is it addictive or can i just do it every now and then with friends and crap?

it's not addictive.
don't let anybody pressure you into trying it bro. i didn't smoke until i was 15, which was at least 3 years after most of my friends started. it's not an essential part of living, and it isn't something that you need to experience. but if you're down for it of your own will, don't hesitate to try it.

I wouldnt say that you get sick....its definatly a weird feeling. But you really dont get as high your first time for some reason. But with anything the more you do of it the greater affect it will have.

honestly, i dont think weed is a drug,  it makes you feel good and theres nothing wrong with that. it is IMPOSSIBLE to overdose on.  i smoke a lot of weed, however i dont drink. just dont let anyone pressure you into it

weed is awesome, you should definately try it imo. get some good bud though. the first time you smoke you probably wont get high, your body needs to learn how to take the hits properly. i didnt get high until my 3rd time.

weeds not a big deal. If you smoke too much though you're life will be full of suck. if you are moderate it will be fun. I only smoke weed at parties or when im doing something physically active to enhance the experience. thats really the only way its fun

if you do smoke weed i reccommend for your first time go hiking or skiing with sick beats in ur helmet. that way you'll have a complete alibai

A lot of people say you don't get high your first time, but I did and I'll never forget it.

We were  boxing my friends closet and we were just sitting there passing the bowl back and forth, I was so nervous that I was shaking. A couple of rotations in, I look down the bowl and it looked crazy. It was nothing like what I thought being high was like. I tripped balls the whole time. It was awesome.

Just don't become a pothead. Smoke once in a while, not everyday. I used to and I was spending ridiculous money on weed but I slowed down and now it's all good again.

Be careful, don't do anything that could get you caught. Don't be stupid. And last of all, don't snitch.

If you smoke dank weed with people who know what they are doing, and inhale the correct way you will definately get high your first time.  After you pull the smoke into your mouth, take another breath like you normally would, like a deep breath but not that deep.  Getting high is fun and just like Funkdoobiest said, you'll know when you are high and it won't be anything like you've thought it was.  High is high, it's hard to explain what it feels like.

im 20 and ive never smoked a day in my life and am fine with that, many of my friends smoke but respect that fact that i dont, and on the other hand i have no problem with the fact that they do

if you are going to smoke, do it to try it because you want the experience, personally i never cared enough to and thats my reason. And if your buddies are bugging you to do it, they probably aint your buddies if they dont respect your opinion. Theres alot of ways to get your jollies, dont let weed become your only way

Alright here it is straight up. Just try it. your not even gonna get high your first time. So why not? And no it isn't addictive your first time. it isnt addictive your 10th time. get it?

weed is not physically  addictive  like tobacco but like any thing it can be  physiologically addicting any thing can be  physiologically addicting so it no big deal

first time i smoked weed i took wayyyyyy to big a hit off the blunt (and smoke mostly paper probably) and my fucking throat closed up and i couldnt breath for like 30 seconds and i thought i was gonna die.
But then it slowly opened up and after i got fairly high and played on a play ground so it was all good.

But ya, I held out til 16 from fear of my dad finding out, but it worked out ok.

yeah really, if you really dont want to then don't. its not addicting at all. i dont smoke but i have a few times before. the first time i did my older freinds pinned me down and put the bowl in my mouth but for real if you dont want to then dont. but if you do dont get caught lol

and even though i grew up around the stuff, i was 16 before i smoked for the first time.
and i did get semi-high. it totally depends on your body

I'm 17 almost 18... just started a few weeks ago.  It's no big deal, pretty chill and fun.  Just don't get into the habbit of wasting all your money on it.

i think the problem here is that you asked a bunch of random people with different views about smoking marijuana.  You are going to get mixed emotions from everyone haha. just do whatever you feel like doing. i have and my parents found out and didnt really do anything. so its not really a big deal. just do it with close friends and dont let people find out.

i got really high the first time i smoked... people who dont are simply smoking wrong... as for the stomach ache thing i think its becuase that are swallowing instead of inhaling... you kinda gotta get all the smoke in your mouth and then take another little inhale to get it into your lungs... you cannot gulp it down or just leave it in your mouth

drinking is so played, its so dangerous too. alot worse than weed. ( i've never smoked weed) but i can say i've seen the affects of alcohol. sure it can be fun if you do it responsibly, but theirs so much to take into consideration...death ? would you want to die over alcohol because you may think its all fun in games...no

i know an alcoholic and its not pretty, or fun in games at all. i know this alcoholic very well. and its disgusting what they can do, and say when their drunk. its not all fun in games. alcohol is very dangerous. call me a pussy i don't give a shit because i don't drink or smoke, to me i'd rather smoke because, its natural, and alcohol is man made. you can't get addicted to pot, but you sure the hell can get addicted to alcohol, and when you do its not pretty, it can destroy you're body and you're family. its happened to mine. it's shitty. sorry i just thought i had to say something about that.


pots natural, just don't get forced to do it. if you want to try it, go for it to see what its like. i've always thought about trying it but i never have. it's totally you're decision but my personal decision would smoke > drinking.

you should do it.  all the time.  especially before school, before tests, before you have to go somewhere with your parents, before you do any important.  you should spend every last second smoking.  you're not cool unless you do it.

^my family got messed up cause of alcohol to but i have got drunk and i dont feel addicted to it at all and i havent smoked.  smoking is fun though even if you dont smoke cause the shit people do when there high is ridiculous.

you definitely shouldn't feel sick. you probably won't get high the first time because you won't really know how to take a hit properly. smoking weed is legit though, go for it if you wanna.

id try it. you wont get sick, youll just cough a lot, and that might make you a little nauseous. its not addictive, and doesnt interfer with anything if you dont let it. i smoke a ton, but still manage to get good grades and keep all my shit together, and when i dont smoke for a couple days, i dont feel like i have to. its not like cigarettes at all.

it depends on your personality, some kids get addicted there first time, while some other kids dont get addicted. but it is a proovin fact that if you make it a habbit it will be addicting. its not up to us to make your decision, most of all just dont make it a habbit and you will be safe.

if i was you though i would atleast try in your lifetime, and you will know when your ready.

I didnt start smoking until I was almost done with my freshman yr of college. Now 3 yrs later I smoke a few bowls a day with my buddies. I smoke a lot more than I drink, I enjoy the feeling more, plus I can still hop behind the wheel with no worries. Try it for yourself, not for your buddies.

To be honest, after my first burn session (got completely baked my first time, took like 30 hits though), I felt guilty going to bed that night.  So now whenever I come home high I feel guilty.

Oh yeah, your first time do NOT plan on going home soon, otherwise you might get really paranoid, which sucks. 
And I think the reason many people don't get high their first time is because theres some sort of reverse tolerance that you get to weed.  That's what I've heard from the druggies I hang with though, so might be legit, maybe not.

I was afraid of drugs, most people will admire you if you dont do drugs before college. Dont fall into peer pressure, standing up for yourself is a sign of a strong personality. If you wanna try, why not; pot doesnt harm you too much. Just start small and with people who you trust.

Uhm like anything the more you do it the LESS effect it has... For some reason most people don't get high their first time they just feel a little different. It's worth it for sure man, it's not addictive it just makes you feel really good and makes everything more interesting and funny. If you're not comfortable with it, wait a year, but the world would be a better place if everyone had the occasional toke.

yea i agree with what you said. i've never done either but i would smoke pot before drinking. it just seems way more natural, and i have never seen anything really bad come out of smoking some weed with friends, but i have definitely seen alcohol fuck stuff up. my dad was an alcoholic.
