northstar has really good parks but thats north so it might not work for you

Kirkwood or sierra would probably be your best bet, for sweet terrain and park.  Heavenly if you have a lot of money for a lift ticket and don't want to travel to the resort.  Sierra is past echo summit, and is about 30 minutes away from south lake. 

do yourself a favor and go to North lake, south lake is gay and full of weirdos and winos...northstars features are very legit, and when all the other resorts are closed because there is too much snow, go to northstar and hit up the stash and lookout mountain in the morning, then go to squaw and wait in line for KT-22 to open, or go to Alpine and wait in line for summit six to open

sugar bowl is also sick as hell, a pain to get to, because when there is a lot of snow, they close one of the two roads near donner lake

BUT...if you have to stay in south lake, then go to kirkwood, you will not regret it at all, it's the furthest resort, but it is well worth the hike believe me

Northstar's rails are sick, their jumps have been known to end peoples seasons due to how short their landings are.
If you want a really sick park, go to Squaw Valley where they have thousands of jibs, and perfect jumps every day. Plus if you get pow, it has some of the best big mountain terrain available. Stay away from Boreal because their jumps=death as well.
