so yesterday i went on a float trip with some friends down the meremac river. we docked our canoes on this shore area and then ate lunch. afterwards we were all just playing in the river and at this particular spot there was a strong current and the water was about three feet deep. i had this amazing feeling that reminded me alot to skiing. i would just let go and enjoy my float. i dont know how to describe it other than that it was effortless movement. just like how skiing uses gravity to move you i was allowing the current to move you and i was simply enjoying the ride. while i was enjoying the ride i also had alot of fun thinking about style, iwas constantly spinning and flipping. other things that really reminded me of skiing was that i was digging my feet into the rocks below to help control my movement just like carving and i was also using my hands just like in hand drags. Uhhh it felt amazing and it really reminded me of skiing. just thought id share. anyone ever felt anything similar?
i do hope you were high when you wrote this, on a lighter note, i was floating the river today and took on the biggest rapid in my tube, which proceeded to flip me strait over into a backflip and sucking me under 2 more rapids where i popped up literally in the middle of my tube, sandals floating on either side of me. claim that story hansel.
word dude my buddies and i drive like 45 minutes to this AWESOME place by us. we park one car 10 miles downstream and go upstream and body float down to it. it's awesome to make a day out of it. plus there is this natural rock slide only 5 minutes away. when the water is high, you HAUL ASS down these smooth rocks it's amazing. then after the slide there is this rock that's like 35ft high you jump off and go under and can swim under it and there is a hole in the land you come out of. fuck i haven't been there in like 2 weeks. i need to head up this weekend!
