Seoul - South Korea

I know it's a long shot because the average NSer is still living with their parents. Does anyone live in Seoul right now? I'm moving in about a month and would like to find an apartment before hand and maybe some leads on a few jobs. I know a few people who have been there, a few less who are there now and of course X_dragon. If anyone is there, we'll drink Cass in the streets and party it up stupid style. If anyone else is interested in dipping over for a while, do it.

Yeah, Jay is over there and I have been talking to him about it for a while. My buddy and I more or less made the final decision to go last week when my contract on an arctic research vessel fell through. I've been trying to get a hold of him for a few days now to tell him that I am coming but he hasn't been on facebook or msn.

Do you know his blog address?

Well, my friend and I are planning on going to India and China for a while but we need skrilla to do so. So we're going to dip to Korea to work there, have a good time, and stack bills to spend traveling. I did something similar two years ago by working in Japan and then dipping to South East Asia.

that's brilliant plan. my friend lives in south korea and i have always wanted to visit the east.
i might do something similar and go to madrid next year, save up my euros, and come back to the u.s. to capitalize on the shitty exchange rate.

this is kinda related?

but my friend that flew down to argentina on a round trip so he could come back anytime within a year.
he went there with nothing but a set of clothes and wanted to travel around everywhere working different jobs here and there. learning the languages and just vacationing.

he did this a while ago in japan and he said it was the funnest this hes ever decided to do.

Well, I never really seem to have huge a problem with Language barriers. You'll have no real problems in stores or anything like that. There are usually enough people around that you can find someone to help you out if you ever get stuck. The girls I dated in Japan typically could speak English fairly well. There is always a fairly predominant expat community in these places so you won't have trouble meeting English speaking foreigners. Although, a lot of these guys will be fucking strange dudes. There definitely are some interesting people too though. I went over with two of my great friends and we spent a lot of time together and had a few friends who were Japanese locals. Living in Japan was a blast and I think Korea has serious potential too. I'm hoping to make enough money to be able to ski in Japan next winter too for a month or so!

Yeah, Korean food is great. Yakiniku (Korean BBQ) is amazing. I love Kimchi too, it's big in Japan but not as big as it is in Korea.

How long were you there for?

What is better? Case, Hite or OB?
