I don't know if it should be on the list but Rumor at gore mt is one of the steeper ones I've been on. Usually we skip the trail and hit up the trees off to the side where the drops are. I've been on the "hardest" trails at other mountains and they're really not too difficult.
rumor at gore is bad ass but is way to short of a run,
i would have to say ripcord at mt snow and the trees trail to the right side of ripcord when you are skiing down ripcord are pretty difficult as well, i have not really skiied that many difficult trails on the east, i find plowing thru a shitload of pow in the trees outwest much more difficult than anything steep out here on the east, but that is just my opinion,
also i believe it might be at stowe called the goat or something, not too sure because i was probably 14 when i skiied it but one of the harder trails on the east as well
probable no one has heard of this but three cliffs at mad River Glen has three consecutive 30 footers tucked away in tight woods and gnarly tight woods aswell
devil's fiddle at killington probablay isn't the hardest, but its an awesome trail thats pretty tough. Lower ovation at killington is about as steep as ripcord.
off the top of my head maybe Black Hole (triple black) at Smuggs and i thought Rumble at Sugarbush was pretty intense, alot of the castlerock peak at sugarbush is pretty tough
Madonna Liftline at Smuggs probably fits in there somewhere. Pretty damn steep and narrow (due to the constant lack of decent coverage, but still...) for an East Coast trail. Fun as hell when it has good snow.
are you kidding me triple black is all about advertising. its not that hard. maybe the liftline getting there when snow low. is pretty much rocks and ice
im gonna go with bubblecuffer, since the backside isnt nearly as hard as previously thought
and misery whip is insane if you try to go down the entire trail with no breaks
Me and a couple other dudes had close to first tracks on Ripcord on a Friday morning after a solid foot-foot and a half of snow had fallen and it really wasn't that difficult to ski. 3 Days after a good dump when there are moguls up to your shoulders, however, is a different story. Either that or hitting it soon after it's open when it's mostly ice and a little rocky. Like I said before though, catch it on a good day and it's the most fun trail at Snow.
