um.. i could see it working but only if the plot was short and not corny. if you read wat josh berman said on the real time book he said it was hard to have some plot and keep peoples attention.
Not gonna lie, I'd consider REALTIME to have a plot. The idea was it was the story of their season. It was also my favorite movie of the year, not just because of skiing and editing, but because I found the concept entertaining.
I've always enjoyed Poor Boyz movies as well, but they seem to have a little less depth without any structure, although that improved a bit with Yeah Dude...
A plot can really add to the movie if done well. Whether its a silly one or just a season documentary type plot it makes it more interesting in my opinion.
nice camera work, narration, steeze, and fun is really all you need, although if it were to be done, it would have to be done carfully, ......you could consider road challenge a movie somewaht, and it has like a cheacklist of things do ....an AMAZING IDEA....but they didnt come through with the rest because of certain cicumstances
I say yes, but I would also argue that every shot has a plot to it. There's a story in everything, though traditionally speaking, there isn't much "narrative" in ski movies. I dont think there should be. I didn't like what they tried to do with Yearbook very much.
