anyone know if they will work over a camp fire? im thinking that if you wrap them up in tinfoil and kinda put it on the side so its not directly on the flame it may work? what do you think?
Why wouldn't it work in a camp fire. It is a fire. And if you wrap it in tinfoil expose some of it or its just going to take forever cuz all it be doing is heating it up.
Uh I wouldn't suggest it unless you want to run the risk of ruining your treat. Usually wood burning fires burn much hotter than any oven. Especially those fueled by the open air.
Most firecrackers call for 300-400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. This releases what you want into the peanut butter (or whatever fat soluble sticky solution you use) most efficiently.
So you might be affected with what you make, but I doubt it'll be as potent as a quality made firecracker will be.
worth a try...or... you set a heavy rock on the ground that has a flat surface to place the firecracker on and place another heavy rock on top of it so that there is just enough wick hanging out so that you can light it. this makes the firecracker a tad bit louder...pshhhhhhh science. i knew it was good for something
you usually bake them for 20-25 mins to activate the deliciousness, but i was just wondering if itd work in a camp fire if you havent an oven available
