Stupid reasons why you lost your job

I was just wondering why you have lost your job or come very closey. Today i was eextreeemly close to losing mine. I work at a surfboard shaper in sydney and a few boys went out last night just around the corner from work. we drank a few to many i left and went back to the shaping bay, we have a ps3 so i started playing guitar hero. Then i go blank from there. i wake up with the guitar still in my hand whilst using a pile of shaved foam from the boards as a matress and tissues all over me as a blanket. Boss woke me up in the morning and yer was not happy.

probably pointless in telling this but yer redtube wasnt working so this thread got created.

surf board shaper? you're one lucky bastard...i would kill to have a job like that.  I sit in front of a computer 8hrs a day filling out excel spreadsheets and downing coffee like none other just to stay awake...It's pretty much just like the movie office space.  Anyways, never lost a job, if it wasnt for the money I would do anything to get rid of this one.

got fired from Target because all I did from the beginning of November to the middle of December is walk around for 8 hours a day..i didnt work at all and took like hour long "15" minute breaks. my attitude wasnt the best.

I almost got fired from the beach because I didn't wanna work every day all day. I quit soon after and now I'm at a way better job where I get more money for my time sooo fuck you bitches hahaha!

I was back at my sweet ass job guiding whitewater rafting and kayaking trips this summer.  hurt my shoulder badly this winter and was scheduled for surgery at the end of the summer to fix it.  all i had to do was take it easy this summer, do my physio and make it to the surgery.  instead i got bored and went for an epic line id never seen attempted before. almost fuckin made it too. now im back in the city workin a desk job in a sling.  upside is i got my surgery date sooner so ill have a better chance of being strong by ski season

wasnt me but my friend got fired from the farm stand because he couldnt stack the watermelons in a pyramid. he mad kind of a pile and then the owner came and was like
"thats not a pyramid!" (throws watermelon at friend)

ive lost many jobs for silly things but the best had to be at this local pizza joint... it was superbowl time and so the boss had set up this football theme throughout the restaurant and there were a bunch of big inflatable footballs everywhere....  it was a dead weekday afternoon so a friend and i decide a quick game of football was in order....we ended up knocking over a couple tables and the boss man walked in with his beloved inflatable footballs being punted across the room...

and that was that....

I worked for ticketmaster once, basically just took phone calls and sold the tickets to events over the phone...I used to get alotta asshole from NYC, ya know, the yuppy white Grenwich Village fags that act like babies, whenever they would complain and bitch at me how long the wait was I would "accidentally" discconnect thier call. Then I skipped work a couple saturdays and told them I wasn't supposed to go in (knew I was) and that was that.

well, i went in for training, which i didnt have. i was a busboy, and i hod no help with anything, so at one point, one lady asked for coffee, and i put the pot on her table and left, instead of pouring it for her. i didnt get the job cause of that. fucked up shit.

Made too many pizzas so I could take some home after work (since it would be a total waste to throw away)

I did this about 3 too many times.. and was fired for it.

whatever.. so worth it for fuckin free pizza. That boss was an ass anyway, and i made what would now be less than minimum wage.

I worked at a place where we actually tossed the dough. so fucking awesome. Plus, it was a gas oven, so it was freaking GOOD stuff.

I would always make my pizzas about wayyy too big.

one time, i had to cut it into 4ths, and put each 4th into an XL pizza box..

thing must have been a 35" pizza...

yeah. it had all the toppings on there too..

i closed that night too.. so nobody really knew what happened haha. Instead of putting away the ingrediants.. i threw half of them on my monster pizza.

i worked at earls for six months, on the sixth month i got pretty sick, had to call in sick twice (only time calling in sick). i called six days before my next shift and told my manager i probably wouldn't make it in, called a co-worker and asked her if she could fill in for me. she said yes. when the day came that she was supposed to fill in for me, i get a call from my manager asking where i am. i reminded him that i called in sick and that i had another person fill in for me. he responded by yelling at me over the phone saying that i was always sick and that i was fired. he said i needed to learn from this experience. i haven't been back there since, and that was over a year ago.

i got sick for 3 days and when i came back my boss is like "you were skipping so your done". o well i hated swamping cherries for 7.50 an hour and starting at 2 am. now i work at my dad's law firm shredding and organizing files for 15 and hour

haha mine's great...

i worked at a golf course for almost 4 years before i got sacked. working for a jerk off drunk. literally. i was told by this one kid that when he walked into his office he saw him, slipped a flask under the table then zipped up his fly. wow. and he was either a complete douchebag or mad chill. i put up with his crap for minimum wage for FOUR years, mainly because the people there were awesome and i got free golf and driving range use. but one night bill (my boss) was in the shittiest mood ever and wasnt thinking straight. he threw me with 2 other kids who were just starting so i had to train the shit out of them. so the time came when bill told me to show them how to do the laundry, which was no more than like 20 bar towels, but he told me to show them one at a time for some dumb ass reason. so i was like, its 7:30, nobody else is coming to the course, and if i show them both we could get back to work faster. so i took them both down to the laundry room, showed them how to work a fucking washing machine then walked out. we were in there for no more than a minute. and of course on the way out i ran into bill. he saw me with both kids then flipped shit. so i get called into bob's (bills bitch) office the next day and he told me that i was done. WTF.

so long story short, i got fired for showing some kids how to use a washing machine.

ahha you def didnt work there for 4 years man, mabye 3 total, cause ur first and last years were half seasons, but this is the same courrse i worked at and got fired by the same guy. they are assholes.
and im the kid who saw bill wacking it and oter times drinking. he would constantly go to the bar and fill his mug with jack and coke.

One of my friends was stealing money out of the cashier, he worked at food stand. Anyways he ended up stealing around 1200+ in cash, and one day he got called to the front office, and they asked him to count up how much money had made etc. He thought he was gonna get screwed, what actual end up happening is that he got caught eating a soft pretzel on the job through a security camera, and got fired for that.

I used to work in the kitchen at a fried seafood restaurant. One extremely busy saturday night, after running out of supplies and serving a 20 top with no reservation, we were cleaning up the kitchen. about an hour after the place had closed, we were about halfway done closing up. I was kinda stressed, so i walked out to the bar, and asked my boss,
"Sara, can I be 21 tonight?"

before she could say anything, I grabbed a beer, opened it and went back to work. Came in on monday and was fired. Not too sad about losing that job, and i got a beer out of it. plus the look on her face was priceless.

used to work at subway
on basically the last skiable day, i skipped work and went skiing. my boss called me while i was still on the mountain and told me i was fired. then she called my parents. they made me come home. i got to ski for 2 hours that day.
