yeah its true. i just got back from the trip of a lifetime.

my buddy and i biked accross america. its was sick. got to see so many places. we went through washington, idaho, montana, north dakota, minnesota, iowa, wisconson, illinois, indiana, ohio, pennsylvania, new york and massachusets. we biked west to east and it took us 50 days. im in the best shape of my life and super stoked that its over. i can now just chill the rest of the summer on the lake and make some money.

i just felt like sharing this amazing adventure with some fellow newschoolers. if you got any questions just ask and i will do my best to answer.

That's so sick.  I've been thinking about attempting something like this.  What kinda bike were you rolling on?  What were your biggest obstacles/setbacks?

i rode a CSK road bike. its like some japanese handmade bike. idk really anything like specs wise but it was light and held up with no problems. biggest setbacks was dealing with snow and cold in whitefish montana on june 10. another one was being with the same kid for 50 straight days 24/7. otherwise it was dope.

How many miles did you average per day?  What did you normally eat?  Major carb loads I would guess.  That's so epic.  I want to do something like that from San Diego to somewhere up in Maine.  Did you pick up sponsors and stuff for your ride?

we averaged about 75 to 80 miles per day. we did a 133 day in montana and then a 52 day when it was cold and raining someplace. we ate mostly at local diners. pb&j a lot. you could basically eat whatever cus you would just burn it all off. i didnt lose any weight. i lost fat, but gained more muscle. my quads and huge so i would proly rip a pow line right now.

for sponsors we just picked up my local bike shop but thats it. nothing big. we had to buy all our gear but they just gave us 50 to 55% off everything so we saved a lot. go to adventurecycling.com for information about bike routes accross americaa. my buddy and i did the northern tier route.
