The Tahoe Freeride Corp. has a freeride ski team, snowboard team, and will be offering high level private freeride lessons.
The coaching is focused on backcountry freestyle, park & pipe, urban jibbing, big mountain & basic ski mountaineering. Both ski and snowboard sides are geared towards expert riders between the ages of 15 and 20 (mature 14yr olds considered) looking to pursue skiing or boarding as a career. There will be different packages available, so riders have the option of traveling and competing with the team in addition to filming and shredding the local gnar, with the seasonal price determined by the package agreed upon. This team will be shredding multiple mountains in the Lake Tahoe area, mostly on the northshore, as well as lots of backcountry trips on our team snowmobiles.
My name is Sean Hartel and I am the head coach of the freeride skit team, and the founder of Tahoe Freeride Corp, I have 6 years of freestyle coaching experience in Tahoe, NY, and the Utah Olympic Park, as well as training in backcountry safety and avalanche awareness & rescue techniques. Our team of coaches, many of who are traveling and competing themselves, are some of the best around. Plus guest coaching from other pro's and backcountry courses with certified guides.
Help spread the word to any local kids you know with lots of talent and ambition. The freeride ski team is almost filled up, but we need help spreading the word to the local snowboard kids. For information on the program you can email me at sean.hartel@hotmail.com, or ask away on NS.
