lately ive been having mad fun skating, i skated as adolescent for several years, alot and then like the vast majority of kids who skate i gradually stopped mostly cause i was stuck on tricks that werent coming around, namely flips. so whatever time pases, i stay active, and i start skiing (i started skiing for real at 18 through working in restorts) and really took to it, i progressed so much quicker than i did on my skate board. with in a season i was really enjoying my self discovering the sensation of big jumps that werent possible for me on a board, so any way money is tight and lately i havent been able to get up much, so i focused that energy i got from skiing on skating. and something clicked, i told my self fuck the bullshit!!!! and now stuff is actually starting to come around, its the illlest feeling in the world......... I LOVE BACKSIDE 180 FLIPS!!!!!!!!!!!! so ya big up to all the twin tip riders who skate!!!!! one love!

haha i can relate to this. i used to skate like near every day in the summer, but a couple of years ago i just didnt pick up my skate again. and the other day, i see one of the kids i used to skate with. we get to talking and eventually he bets me a jackson i cant kickflip anymore. so i step on the skate, kickflip maybe a foot and a half off the ground, and get it first try. did i mention i was in flip flops?

Thats sick dude it's nice to hear about more people starting to skate. The sport is growing rapidly and that is awesome. Nice job about getting back on the board. Backside flips are awesome but i can never gat them down gaps or stairs.

That's sick man. I tried to skate for a while but after about a year I still couldn't even ollie up a kerb. Stopped for ages then a couple weeks ago, had the urge to skate again, saved up some $ and bought a new deck, and in 2 weeks of skating progressed insane amounts. It's so sick, I find it a real challenge and that's what i love about it. But now i've ripped a ligament off my ankle and can't ski or skate for a while, right at the beginning of the season down here CRY
Stoked that you're amped!

its all in your head bro, if you can do cleanly floated long ollies and know what that feels like than you can do flips. there the EXACT same motion as an ollie except for a slight front font position adjustment depending on which flip. also fight the instinct to open up, make sure your shoulders stay in line with the board. go for it man, there the funnest things ever!!!!!!!
p.s.
invite to skate cult...please?
