Who believes that, I definitely do. Look at what we have right now, any rock bands that are anything close to the way rock use to be are getting really old. Rolling stones, acdc, aerosmith are all good examples.
I wish we could go back to the days where rock was still very much alive. Aerosmith's old music was great, sweet emotion, was a classic. Then you have tom petty, jimi hendrix, zeppelin, black sabbath, eric clapton, I don't know much about rock so I don't know a lot of the bands names, and i'm drawing a blank right now. But take a look at where rock is now, six feet underground, now we have this offspring of it, punk rock(not dissing it), alternative, and heavymetal(dissing it for sure), the sound is so unnatural and it will never come back, i don't know one rock band out now that is doing what they were doing in the 60's, and 70's, why can't we have that kind of music now, we can only listen to the classics, imagine what it must of been like when people first heard stairway to heaven on the radio, or layla, or sweet emotions, they would all shit bricks.
Unlike any music besides country right now, rock is the only type of music to get deep in meaning with their songs, they talk about a lot of lifes troubles and they do it like no other type of music, they put everything they have into it and after listening to an emotional song, you can almost feel the way that artist felt.
The Rock our parents knew and grew up to is what I would like to still hear, music was a religion then, now it's a business that any crackhead or heroin addict can just begin now. The only rock band to come close since then is Nirvana, but that was the last of the rock bands, now we have a shitload of shit playing on the radio and not one real rock band, rock is officially dead, but lets pray it comes back.
