In Need of Help

Ive got two problems and Idono what to do about them..

1.I just got a new mac book pro.. also final cut express hd but when I try to open it it says that I need an AGP graphics card. Do I really need to upgrade a new mac book pro already?

2. Ive been taking pictures off my camera the last couple of weeks and after I uploaded it all to a folder I would take all the pictures and drag it to the trash so that the card would empty.. well apparently that doesnt work and now I cant figure out how to delete the pictures.. Ive tried deleting through the computer and tried deleting through the camera but they both just keep saying there are no files. But my 8 gig card went from 2500 pictures to 500 available pictures..

also, my parents are going to give me like $100 bucks to buy something for my birthday.. I wanted to upgrade my mac and I was thinking about getting more RAM but not sure.. any suggestions?

the one I messed up is a panasonic lumix.. point and shoot.. but I also did this on my rebel xt but I have a new card coming tomorrow.. bought it because I needed a bigger card, not because of this.. and why does it tell me I need that card?

no sorry uhm the 8 gig card was for the point and shoot because I take random videos on there too.. for the rebel xt I only had 1 gig card but am getting a 4 gig card.. Im mostly wanting to know about the point and shoot card cause I dont wanna buy another card and cant get anything off..

well im a windows user but my knowledge in cameras may help you. for the xt and xti theres a delete all button, just click the play buttons then trash can button and delete all. As for on comp open up the drive, select folder and delete, no? im probably missing some mac only step, sorry if i cause any confusion.

See I tried to do that with the poitn and shoot camera.. its got the delete all files on the camera.. and I did that but its still showing that I only have 500 pictures available.. I used to have 2500+

file size, all digital cameras come with options on the resolution of your photos, if you compare you photos that you were to take now(being able to take 500 photso) and then (when you were able to take 2500) the file size would be substantially mroe, most likely there is a size option S , M , or L . or possible it will just give you three different rosolution sizes to choose from.

ha Im learning but Im not that dumb.. it was an 8 gig card and I was getting 2500 with the largest size photos.. I was getting some ridiculous number like 25,000 at the smallest res
