I start my frosh year at the U of Utah next year and I swear there has never been a longer summer in my life than this one. Anyone else going somewhere that they're really stoked for next year?
I'm stoked for all my friends to come back from home, but i remember the summer for freshman year, just so stoked to get out to school. Its a great time man.
Junior year of high school. Fuck it not excited for school but defff excited for winter. Summer is more fun for the social part for the most part so all school means for me is more work and winter soon. So for the winter part... yeah Im excited!
I was worried that Utah was gonna be full of anti partiers and so on. But when I was at orientation 90% of everyone there either skied or rode and we pretty much just talked about the industry the whole time. I met Giray Dadali too, sick kid. I also talked to a couple local kids who informed me that there are a LOT of dope parties. I mean, there's 29,000 kids there, 15% are mormons. How do you not have parties? Most serious mormons in Utah end up at BYU, the school is tailored for mormons as it provides time for them to do their missions and so on.
i'm pretty stoked for school. I'm gonna be living with my best friend right near the mountains and around people who actually ski. I like summer a LOT but i miss the mountains and the stoke factor in burlington
After my freshman year I was super excited for summer. And summer has been sweet but I'm starting to get excited to go back. I miss all my friends from school and I can't wait to have that freedom again.
OMG the beer has a slightly lower alcohol content!!!
Solution: Don't be a pussy and drink more beer then or stop whining and get some liquor or 40z from the liqour store.
OMG the mormoms suck!!!
Solution: Befriend said mormons, they will be your friend. Mormons might be a little nutty(only some) but they are all really nice and good people. Some even enjoy driving you to parties, instant DD.
OMG no one parties!!
Solution: no solution because the statement is false. There are parties every weekend you just have to know people, which isn't very hard to do.
Freshman year at college was dope. Loved every bit of it. Regardless I was stoked to come home from school to all my friends from hs, party my ass off and enjoy 4 months of sweet freedom.
Was I ever fucking wrong. All I've done this summer is work my fucking ass off. Work, work and more fucking work, theres also rugby, and a party here and there, but I still find myself having to turn down 2 out of every 3 party invites because I need to make money. School is my other fulltime job so I lneed to liive off of said money during the year.
I cant wait for fucking school. I would write and ace a million essays just to not have to go back to my shitty job every morning and do the same shitty thing for 11 shitty bucks an hour.
Highschool kids, enjoy the fuck out of your summer. Because the way i see it, unless you're rich, the only reason summer exists for college kids is to remind us why we're even at school. Because if you weren't in college that shitty dead-end job is what you'd be doing fultime in order to support yourself for the rst of your miserable life.
I can't wait to get back to school. I hate my job.
I think next year im going to do summer quarter and take the winter off and just work as a lifty/ski bum. Non shitty job + Doing something I like in the Summer + Lots more ski time = Win Idea~
As long as you don't try to jerk ay of us off at the U then I would say yeahhh come! I wasnt digging the party thing, but then I realized: do I wanna ski or do I wanna party more? Skiing definitely came to mind first, and I also realized wherever there are skiers, there is a party, so the partying aspect is easily taken care of. Eheath said it once, and I'll say it again, U of U is gonna be so NSed next year, and years ahead, and i can't wait.
i am not stoked at all. i didn't move back home but am not taking summer school so all i do is drink surf drink play disc golf drink. it will be cool that some of my friends are moving back but most of them graduated
