Buying something practical would be a good idea. You ski right? These don't look like ski cars to me, granted they could hold skis on a rack. But lowered cars could be an issue with snow on the ground.

Don't buy a modified show car. That's just stupid. If you really want something like that (which you shouldn't.....) buy a stock, or close to stock, car and do it yourself. And I have a 2g Eclipse GSX (without a gay body kit and vinyls) and it is a great car for skiing. With snow tires in the winter it's unstoppable. And I still can have a car to work on and take to the track in the summer. There's a picture on my gallery.

get an evo 8 or 9, sti or a4/s4, if not then bmw 3 series would be a better handling and more practical car.

you would be suprised what cars you could buy on ebay with 14k.....since you seem to like tuners like the eclipse and celica i would reccommend a mazda rx-7.   they are pretty quick, cheap, decent mpg, and dont look gay and mexican like eclipses and celicas.  there are alot of other options though...for example, my dad got a 2000 jaguar xjr with 58000 miles on it which is a real nice car (370hp, 0-60 in 5.1) for 13k on ebay.  The xjr cost 75k when it came out.  The only catch was that it needed a 1500 dollar engine tune up when we got it but my dad bought it knowing that.  So if you shop right, you can get a really nice car for low $$.  But you seem that you would like a mazda RX-7....or listen to everybody else on NS and get a subaru since they are great in snow and run forever.

those cars are about as gay as it gets, please dont get a pos mexican mobile. for 14 grand you can get something so much better, and you wont be laughed at by every person that sees your car.
you could get a wrx, legacy gt, e36 m3, b5 s4, or newer a4, a 3 or 5 series. and for a little more you could get an sti or evo, though an evo is a much much better car.

id go with teh top one but personaly i woudnt go with any of those ur just gunna hit ur bottom on big bumps and those arent even that fast/good cars. buyi8ng on ebay is cool i guess but get something stock and nicer im sure u could find one

or buy a jeep cherokee I6. they are tanks, i have one also and i absolutely love it, gas isnt the greatest but its not the worst either, plus you get the option to take your car places other cars cant go with just a few minor mods.

ya, buying a car on ebay would be reaaaaaaaaally smart, since test driving it doesn't really matter or anything. if it looks cool and the price is right, then theres no possible way it could go sour... am i right?

Believe it or not, test driving the same model car would be almost as pointless as not test driving the car at all. the only way to make sure its in working mechanical condition is examine it in person, and test drive it. If you go to a dealer, chances are that you will be driving a car that will functions quite well because they have mechanics make sure nothing is wrong with it when you are about to purchase it, because the dealership would gain a bad rep and ultimately suffer in the long run if they were selling lemons (cars that look good but are actually about to break down or "go sour")

so driving a car from a dealership, which is most likely equipped with all of the OEM parts that originally made up the car, would be dramatically different than driving the car that some average joe, with internet access to some import tuner messageboard and a bunch of money to blow on aftermarket parts, rigged up in his garage using daddy's toolset... god knows what new parts in turn fucked up original parts or if everything was installed properly ect ect.

every car thread? you mean that other one? yeah because that car its in the same catagory, a slow, shitty car with more vents and scoops than a lambo, ricer bumpers that dont fit the car at all, and gay wings. atleast around here the only people i see driving those are mexicans from the trailer park. sometimes it will be some super nerdy guy, but most the time its a mexican that thinks he just bought a fucking race car.
those cars are gay, shitty, and slow.

get a v-dub- mthey have a community like ns of a bunch of people who are into them- check it out vwvortex.com and then go to the forums and look for vw classifieds-  so much shit on their that looks better and will smoke any of those cars- it will be under mk4 gti/
