carpet that doesnt stick up alot and is firm and the bristles are really short. It slides real fast. or you can mount pvc to plywood.

WAY fast. Use it for the drop and then basically turf everything else

It's pretty fast but can be pretty sketchy. It takes awhile to get used to because you have absolutely not edge control.

I think often times people throw around the word "astroturf" with great ease. I know that when post people think of "astroturf" they are thinking of indoor outdoor carpet. Astroturf is a substance that is used often times on indoor soccer fields. It contains sand like pellets or sand for that matter. The word is typically misused because most people have indoor/outdoor carpet. The place that I can think of that has astroturf is whale back. If you use indoor/outdoor carpet with some type of lubricant whether it be tide or dish detergent...doesn't matter...you will go lightning fast. Along with the need for soap you will also need the frequent application of water to keep the inrun, how should i say this, slick.
Hopefully that helps
