Omg alcoholedu ruined my life.

At first I was like having an awesome time partying and drinking, but now that I know the facts about alcohol I'm not going to party anymore.  Did you that 60% of students actually support stricter penalties for the use of fake IDs to purchase alcohol illegally?


Anyone else have to do this bullshit online course?

(for those of you who dont' know what it is, it's a online alcohol education course required by some universities)

yeah had to do that shit at Montana State. apparently they have hella aggrevated assaults + alcohol charges at the same time, high numbers of irresponsible acts i guess. they say it makes the numbers go down, but i think it's just another hoop to jump thru and something to keep you occupied in your dorm room..... ..... i mean,  otherwise you'd just be out drinking right, economics bro!? i didnt feel like it educated you that much, because you're just annoyed / flustered with how long it takes so you tune out and most is common sense answers too. gotta listen to that trick ass hoe w a bad voice, cant just read and skip thru. takes like 10 hrs :( and required in order to not have a hold on your account :( feel for you.

uummm... healthier lifestyle?  ok, possibly, but we all die in the end anyway...

i can't take sXe kids seriously... i mean, do whatever you want, but to swear off some of the greatest joys the world has to offer (fine wine and whiskey, really good herb, and acid- no, i'm not kidding... i've figured some serious life shit out on acid) is just dumb.  seriously, there is NOTHING wrong with a $150 bottle of wine.  you don't drink it to get drunk, you drink it to enjoy the craftsmanship, time, effort, care, and persistence that a handful of people put into creating a truly beautiful wine.  and who sits around (besides my old man) and gets liquored up on fuckin Highland Park or Johnny Walker Blue Label?  seriously, over $100 a bottle, nobody you know drinks the stuff to get drunk.  and acid.  sure, go ahead an laugh at how absurd it is to include acid with fine wines and expensive whiskey, but you have NO idea the impact acid has had on my life.  i'll never give up acid.

and anybody who says you can have a better time sober than fucked up has never been fucked up the right way.  take two hits of acid, go to a Daft Punk show, and tell me it isn't one of the most profound, intense, and eye-opening experiences of your life.

in a world with so much to offer as far as mind-altering substances and incredible experiences is concerned, being straight edge makes about as much sense as closing your eyes through a whole movie.  way to not experience some of the most incredible experiences on earth.  you can always sober up, but if you're not even willing to get to the level, you aren't willing to truly experience this world.

that all being said, eastAR5, i really hope you were joking, but the above is for any of you morons thinking about claiming sXe.  there's nothing wrong with moderation or even taking a break, but to permenantly swear off some of the most incredible life experiences is pure idiocy.

no, i don't feel you.  we probably handle the drug quite differently- i've NEVER had a bad or overwhelming time on acid and the most i've taken at once was 5 hits.  sure, i saw a ton of crazy shit, but it never was too much for me or got out of control.  granted, i wouldn't take 5 doses and go skiing, two was enough that day.  and you have to be responsible about it, too.  don't do bc or big lines, hitting jumps was a chore, but skiing pow and trees was just amazing.  just like with any other drug in any other situation, as long as you're responsible with it, you'll stand a much better chance of having everything run smoothly.

the best trip i've taken, though, was five hours of sitting on a scenic overlook in the UP with a view of all of Marquette and the surrounding area.  it was fall and just as the colors were exploding in the trees, so it was like looking over a lake of fire.  honestly, one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.  shit can really change your perspective on the world around you.

ok, i dont have a problem with acid, but thinking taking 2 hits and then skiing is responsible? please. first off, skiing should be enough that you dont need to look into alternate states of consciousness to enjoy it, second, even if you're not tripping balls, your mind is not in the place it should be when you're dodging trees, people and other obstacles. now get off peoples cases about being straight edge, it's their choice, they can save money if they want, sorry if you are unable to fully enjoy yourself at a party without your precious social lubricant.
