Let me start out by saying that this is in no way an act to gain sympathy from a bunch of internet users. This is simply me just askin that some of you keep this friend in your thoughts and prayers. We'll just call him Rob for now.
I've been friends with Rob since like 6th grade. Pretty good friends actually. You know the usual, blow shit up on weekends, hang out at the mall, that shit. Well in the middle of freshman year his normal life was brought to a screeching halt when an exam turned out to show he had two brain tumors. Being the size they were and the placement, they didn't think surgery was possible, and if so, it would even be fatal. His parents and himself, knowing the risk, decided to move on with the surgery to get some of the tumor(s) out. Well, after making it through surgery extremely well(begining of sophomore year) things started to look up. He kept his dream of eventually going to a cullinary(sp) arts school and still enjoyed food. He was actually able to visit Paula Deen during this past year where she made him dinner, and for his family as well. Well, we're juniors now, and taking place about 3 months ago when every thing was starting to look better, not great, but better, he was put under a new type of chemo. Well needless to say it fucked with him, and his mindset. It made him sick to his stomach 24/7. He was turning down any food given to him and kept his diet through a straw. After this, he pretty much gave up. He was upset and tired of the fighting. He grew so weak even the simplest of tasks he couldn't perform. After about 3 months of agony, I got the call yesterday that he was entered into hospice. I was just hoping all you out there that read this if you pray, just throw in a quick word, and if not that's cool too. I never would have thought this would happen to any of my friends, but reality is a real bitch sometimes. Thanks for reading and + vibes.
Sparknotes - My friend got entered into hospice yesterday after about 2 years of fighting two brain tumors. + vibes yo.
