Does it help in the sense that there is group cohesion; we are all practically together?

Is it detrimental in the sense that we are all together? Cohesion doesn't lend much room for totally different opinions and perspectives.

its helps it lets you know about all the new news but in the same motion everyone is tittled to voice there opionion i see no problem in that so i say it helps to bring us too gather as a skiiing community

Cons: It feeds the cliche park skier demographic and obliterates originality in a sense. Everybody does the same tricks, wears the same clothes, listens to the same music, partially because of NS.
Pros: It gives skiers a way to connect. A bigger sense of community. The kid who lives in the little town with only a couple freestyle skiers can see what's going down with the rest of the ski world.
