Replying to Reaaal weird taste in my mouth

So for the past maybe two weeks I've developed this really weird taste in my mouth, but only when I eat certain things.  It started when I was really sick with the flu and I ate some gummy bears, and the lemon flavored ones tasted so bad I just couldn't even eat them.  But now almost everything sweet tastes like that, and it's at it's worst when I brush my teeth with mint toothpaste.  I don't know what it is, googled and can't find anything.  It's not a metallic taste, tastes more like pollution or something really toxic.   I know NS probably isn't the best place for advice, but any ideas?
