just grab a phillips head screwdriver. but make sure you get the right size. i grabbed one that was too small recently, and stripped the screws. and now i have 2 toe peices stuck in the skis...

Well it most often isn't a Phillips screw head, so using a phillips screwdriver isn't the best idea.
You will generally be able to get screws OUT using a decent sized screwdriver, but for instance if you were trying to tighten #3 pozi screws with a normal phillips bit then you wouldn't be able to get the torque needed.
If you can't find a #3 pozi then you could look at getting a decent sized phillips or #2 pozi drillbit and then set the drill to slow speed and put a shitload of weight down on it as to not strip the head.
Bottom line, get yourself a #3 pozi if you intend to do any more binding work in the future - good investment.

word, good advice there ^^
but if you DO happen to strip your screws, don't worry at all. your local shop has the tools to take out even the most stripped of all screws in just a few seconds. i've had to go in and have them help me a few times, so don't sweat it! just make sure you have a fairly large sized head. and remember, if it starts to strip at first, putting more pressure and torque on it probly isn't going to help much ; )
