Shit you guys must either drink intensely high % beer or your all pretty lightweight.

Im 60kgs and I can drink 8-9 and be feeling it but I need 10-12 to be drunk. 14 = coma.

6 pack of 5-6 percent beer is comfortable buzz for me, still being able to talk to girls without getting slapped in the face and what not but once i get up to the 10 can mark i wont be remembering much especially if there is a hottub.

But that if you just sit there and drink them straight. Beer is usually consumed over a long period of time so the numbers are higher than that.

Does anyone else actually have to work to get drunk of beer? If I'm actually trying to I switch over to Hard A....maybe that's a bad sign haha

Usually anywhere from 6-8 gets me pretty drunk anything over 12 and I'm stupid. Never passed out or never puked yet though. Also I'll mention i dont get hungover from beers ever.

Drunkenness depends a lot on:

How tired you are
If you worked out / exercised
How much you've eaten that day
Coffee / caffeine intake
How much water you've consumed that day
Your electrolyte/nutrient/etc ratios in your blood
Etc.

So yeah it can vary a ton

depends how fast you drink it.

I can drink 15 beers in a night pretty easily in my prime, not the shitty beer you have down in the states but the good stuff that actually has alcohol in it. but let's say i beer bong 3 at once i could probably get a little drunk off that beer bong 3 at once x 2 and ill be fairly drunk. but it sucks now cause i live in bc and everyone seems to be a pussy around here and cant drink for shit, the east coast knows how to hold it down, my tolerance has gone to hell in the last 4 months.

haha i do the same thing, but that's cause beer fills me up and hard bar doesn't.  plus i drink hard A way faster (and not just when i'm doing shots, duh) which leaves more time for things like dancing, which i'm good at when i'm drunk, i swear.  also, ever since my 20th birthday (beginning of august) beer hasn't really agreed with my stomach.  i can't really chug it any more which really really sucks, but that's what i get for going overboard (i puked at the bar at 10:30 and kept drinking, puked when i got home at 4ish, and then puked pretty much straight from 8:30am - 1pm.  i literally could not drink for 2 weeks and couldn't binge for a month, and the day after, when i was watching TV, alcohol commercials made me puke).

at my peak (towards the end of my first year of university) i could throw back a 2-6 (or a "fifth" for you yankees) and be drunk but not puke or anything like that.  now i drink much less often (and therefore spend way less money) and i can't drink nearly as much in a given night (thus saving me even more money).  oh, and i'm like 160 lbs i think.  maybe 165.  i, uh, drank a lot in first year.

a 40 is 3 beers

one night while drinking  in grade 12 my friend kev made a terrible mistake of trying to beer bong 2 40's at the same time. (your stomach can't really hold that much fluid). So he starts going, doing good probably gets to 4 and a half then just projectile vomits like 6 feet across the room, possibly the funniest thing i have ever seen. "how'd that feel kev?" "Darcy, it felt like my stomach exploded." pure gold. I think we have a video of him puking somewhere on facebook ill try and find it.

It all depends on what intoxication level you personally consider to call drunk. I gurranty no one in this thread would be sober after 4 or 5 beers in 2 hours. But ofcourse most of us are able to get way more fucked up.

now i am sorta lightweight in the fact that 3 or 4 beers make me feel it and then by 6 or 7 im drunk. even 2 beers and i can feel it. though can drink through a 375ml bottle of hard pretty easily in a night and get wasted.

There's so much claiming in this thread it's absurd, who the fuck actually goes through and reads responses to a thread like this? hey man chill out. i made this thread because i thought it would be fun to read, and be able to hear some cool stories. and i have. looks like only 1 out of almost 200 people (you being the 1) has a sandy pooch and woke up on the wrong side of the bed. so go complain in one of the other 23432 threads like this on ns that happen everyday.


oh and i drank 2 liters of beer an about 1 and a half hours when i was in germany. amazing night

im a beer ass hole... therefore I only drink bottled beer.. and I pretty much drink only microbrews from Oregon(mirror pond, omg yum yum yum.. even the diviest of bars have it on tap too) since im always drinkin IPA and heavy beers.. takes me 2 pints.. =perfect.   4-5 pints = sickly feelin.. time for jameson!!!

you guys are naming a number but not giving any time, i've split a keg with 5 of my friends in one night and we finished it (so about 25 beers each) and I wasn't really that drunk. Obviously I wouldnt normally be able to do this but it's because we were at a cottage and started drinking at around 6pm and ended around 2am, so thats about an avg of 3 beers an hour. It's really just how much you drink and how fast, I've been pretty drunk off 4 beers before reason being i beer bonged them all in under 10 minutes.

i haven't done it (there's no way i could) but in engineering at UBC we have something called the 40 beer challenge... 40 beers in 12 hours.  i dunno about you guys, but i'm fucked after 20 beers in 6 hours... and that's the easier half.

Do you guys have yard glasses in the Northern hemisphere?

Its tradition for guys to drink a yard glass on their 21st birthday in NZ. This is a long glass container (kinda looks like a bong) and it holds like 8 beers. Basically u drink these 8 beers in one go and are timed.  The best time outta my mates at the moment is 1min.15sec... 

It gets pretty grusome when peole start vomiting into the glass and then they have to drink it....
