what are some good free ones other then adobe premier because i hate it. I runs so slow on my computer and its really confusing. So if anyone knows any good stuff share it with me

Windows Movie Maker, or if you have a recent Mac iMovie (not iMovie 08, it's horrible!).

and whats a program thats better than iMovie.. Ive heard sony vegas is great.. any others?

The learning curve for Sony Vegas is shallower than Premier... both programs have things to offer but IMO if you take the time to learn Premier this summer you'll be rewarded when the season comes around.

I'm still stuck with Vegas though, I'm too lazy to learn Premier Pro lol

i have premiere pro, not that hard to get used to once u make a few edits in it

in about 1 year of having it ive made approx 30 edits & a movie, its worth learning

I love Premiere, its a great program.  I stepped up to that from WMM and was very impressed.  To be perfectly honest, I don't think WMM will run any faster on your computer because it is such an inefficient program.  I think the reason Premiere ran slow was because it works with more information/larger size files.  For simplicity, sure, WMM is much simpler, but you have about 0.00005% control over the effects you use...

yeah i have premier pro its not that hard to use i wanna get used to it. Just the speed of it sucks, is there anyway to make it run faster?

IMHO premiere is your best bet, that being said i don't have extensive experience with vegas but i have not heard positive things from people who have used premiere.
