2009 Ski Averages for real this time

This was the fastest/easiest way to upload them. I wanted to do it in a way that people can edit/update if they feel I did things wrong, didn't include certain skis etc. When I did this I found out skis come in decimals when it comes to length. So I rounded the average to the nearest tenth. If my information is wrong I apologize. Everything I got came from http://www.skipass.com

Sick!! +++++ karma for sure. The mens BC came out with some pretty rounded numbers. Very interesting indeed, any skis or brands specifically you didnt include?

yea man, forgot to put that in the original post.
i tried to keep it all twin tip or at least half twin. I didnt include skis like the salomon rocker and others because theyre not twins. still amazing skis though.
and for the mens park ski. i only included skis that are available in sizes 170+
the reason you may see skis listed in sizes under 170 is because i couldnt find stats for their bigger sizes. Ex. K2 Silencer. so theyre listed in a smaller size but they still come in sizes 170 or greater.
as for brands, i think i got all of them. theyre were some unique/small brands that i didnt include. all the major ones are represented though.

oh and some skis i included in both Park and BC just to cover all sides. an example would be the ARV and BT, pretty in between categories.

i made them on a mac. if you have excel they should just open up.

another thing about them... for the skis i couldnt find radius' for, i just didnt include them in the radius average. they didnt count as a zero, they simply werent counted.

this is what i originally wanted to post but i dont have photoshop so someone had to do it for me.
for everyone that doesnt want to download it and just wants to look at the results. or post ways to improve...
(this better work, if not i dont give a shit anymore)

youre right you dont want to sound like a dick. and you dont... instead you sound like a really dumb dick. read the original post first and you shall see that i even said there is no point to this.
and if you were to keep reading, i said people should make suggestions on how to improve. which you did. but in a completely dick way.
but, i will now add weights to it as well and average it out.

just did it real quick. i found most of them but there are some wholes so the numbers arent 100% accurate. id say somewhere around 65-75% correct.

BC mens average weight (rounded to nearest tenth):
4.0kg

Park Mens average:
3.6kg

Park womens average:
3.2kg

BC womens average:
3.2kg - same as park.

I know no one cares anymore (if they ever did in the first place) but i do. so if i can find more data to average about skis i will.

Average Prices - retail (Euro)
Mens Park:
$459.11

Mens BC:
$597.10

Womens Park:
394.35

Average number of sizes made (rounded to nearest hundredth)
Ex. K2 Silencer = 3 sizes available.
Nordica Ignition = 4 sizes available.

Mens Park:
3.44
rounded down = 3

Park Womens:
3.07
rounded down = 3

Mens BC:
2.41
rounded down = 2

Womens BC:
2.22
rounded down = 2

seems like theres more options for park skis. which makes sense.

theyre incomplete. ill put them up when theyre finished. its gonna be a while though. hard to find some of them. right now if i were to tell you the lightest/heaviest ski it would be wrong.

yeh weight is always difficult to find out for some reason it would be interesting if you could find them out though. because there is always debate over which ski is lighter etc..

right now though the lightest ski i have in the spreadsheet is a tie between the STL and the TNK at 1.86g

i'm guessing that is per ski in which case.. thrusters are 1.56kg i think.. at least salomon lists the weight on their website..

yea for sure. theres some definite wholes in the spread sheets. its turning out to be a never ending project. i dont even have thrusters listed. or spk's.
nobody really seems to care so its not one of my priorities now. whenever i feel like improving things i will.

faction skis.

you didn't include any praxis skis, but i guess this is newschoolers and they only just came out with their new models.  great job though, this is pretty cool to see.

onlything i saw was that 4frnt msp was listed twice and i dont think i saw any boone skis..

i just spent like 6 hours on it today and for sure theres NO way i can come up with any numbers that would be conclusive for weight, rocker angles, tip/tail height, effective edge etc. theres just not enough data for me to collect - not many manufacturers list stuff like that. faction and line have proven to be the most thorough in their spec pages. faction has camber angles and line has everything but camber.
props to line and faction for sure.
