Water Ramp Material?

Does anyone know what material the surface of a water ramp is made of?  I want to make some rails in my back yard and want to use the water ramp surface for the run in and landing.

it's basically carpet or packed powder as they call it i believe...you can go to home depot and just get rolls of astro turf tho that works good too

huh?

at teh whistler water ramps they use these big plastic bristles that are sharp as fuck. not carpet.

and water ramp material is mad expensive dude, like, reallllly expensive.

well theres 2 main types of waterramp material, one is basically thicker toothbrush bristles as a carpet, decently fast, u wont be scraped too badly with it. the other is like 1/8th or 1/16thin plastic bristles that are in a grid, its faster but will eat u alive. go with astroturf, its cheaper and u can lube it up with soap
