i'm from the us. im going to college in colorado, but i want to study abroad a semester. are there any good schools in new zealand or australia that are close to skiing?
Best bet in Australia is a uni in Canberra, then Melbourne is prob the next best, Sydney is a fair trek off from the hills. For NZ i think Dunedin has alot of uni's and is pretty close to some hills, but i may be wrong
I would highly recommend Otago Uni, big party scene, best skiing in NZ not too far away and Dunedins just full of students. Personally, for skiing i'd avoid Australia and come to NZ, way better skiing over the tasman. Canterbury uni (christchurch) is also ok, closer to skiing although its not as good, and its a cool city also. Less of a student town though.
Yeah if you choose NZ I would defiantly recommend Otago University. Im stuck up at auckland uni and have to pull epic day trips starting at 3 am to go drive for 5 hours to ski the closest resort at ruapehu. Or drive 20 mins to a indoor ski field...
Would not wanna go to aussie, at least based on what my mates from over there have to say about it cuz its heticly epensive... apartnly for sydney-ites (??) its cheaper for them to come ski in NZ than it is to stay and ski in Perisher Blue... and I hear canberra is a shit hole that has a fireworks store, pornstore and australian parliment and thats about it....
