In the article, it said that putting foam in your pack will help cushion the wreck. Also, when you fall at those altitudes and speeds, you have to be completely relaxed. ^^^dude shut the fuck up know what yout talking about, the cliff in front line was 75ft not 150ft the angle made it look bigger, the biggest cliff hucked was 220ft in BC by Paul Ahren

pierre is a crazy french fuck. the reason he keeps going progressively bigger is he looses a little bit more brain matter each cliff drop making him more and more prone to doing something stupid. there is a certain uncalculated look to all his skiing that makes me confident he will go through with this.

The record is currently 225 feet. done by Paul Ahern on october 13, 1995, at the 'remarkables' in New Zealand. he had on 215 cm skisa, and was goin approx 136 km/h before he hit. fractured his sternum and was winded, but still skied to the lodge.

Or he should rock one of those suits they wear sky diving or in the wind tunnel thing for training.

But jumping of a huge cliff and landing on your back like he is doing, isnt skiing, its more like a big stunt. Unless he takes it with a line of course :)

People need to understand that when you huck a cliff, or jump or anything for that matter, you don't fall at a continous arc outward, you really only arc outward for 5% of your air time. Dropping somthing this large would require a insanly steep landing. Even hitting a 45-50 degree angle at terminal velocity would, in theory, be fatal.

Jamie ain't doin anything like this for a while. I was in Las Lenas when he broke his femur in August. He also did his knee. He's in for some down time. As for records, Paul Ahern did like 340 feet in NZ. It can be done.
