I know for a fact im never going to ski at the pro level. but that doesnt stop me. Im still up on the hill 4-5 days a week doing what i love.

Do what you want to do, if the disability is to much then dont ski, try and get involved some other way in skiing so you dont totally give it up.

ya, i woudl suggest tha blues, and also, just ski a shit load, and what limitation do you have? i know a guy that has spurs in his ankles, yet still can mctwist 14 feet out

if I was say a paraplegic or something- I'd definetly do that rad chair-ski thing... and getting involved with disabled skiing associations would be rad- I have a LOT of respect for those athletes

well first off i would just like to say that if you are paraplegic... you will be walking in between 5 and 10 years... But if you had like completley fucked your knee and couldnt ski then i would prolly just go to college and become a doctor or a proffessor of History and have a nice family... just chill for the rest of my life...

I'm not sure. Do be honest I would probably use that time that I would have been skiing to work towards something else, like a masters degreee or something. Become a journalist, I don't know. That's really hard to comprehend.

Exactly, i want to write books the problem is figuring out what stories haven't been told yet, my favorite aurtors are Irvine Welsh, and Hunter S Thompson, they've changed my life,

i'm not a 'cripple' yet, and i may never become one, but i have a serious back problem, the acl has never felt stronger, my back is more warped than a question mark, and the doctors, have no idea what to do with me because... i haven't finished growing, when i have a positive attitude, i feel good, and when I don't i feel like shit, and i take it out on others, I know im an ass hole,

i guess the whole point of this rant, is to say im 'Retireing' the nick-name 'lifejacket' it's been around since grade 7, and ... it's been way to long, the name is an assiociation with my pain, 'I'm Over It'-

my new plans on life are very conflicting, althought, i quailify for a disability pention, if i took it, i would only get $6000 a year to live on + tax breaks, big fucken deal, that won't get you jack shit in life, over 20 years, my income would be a wopping $132,120. give or take, a few bucks, and with that fotune, i could retire in .... Surrey...

Fuck that, i'm going to live my life as it comes, it's all i can do...

your expertise is in the industry, so keep it in the industry. I know im gonna be lookin for a plush ski related job once im beat down...its gettting closer every year. Just think how mauro feels...(dorry dude your just a great example) mauro is the oldest of the old...yet hes still killing it...hes gonna be in the industry forever...hes got the brains to back it up in the end...

i would go to college to be something that i could work in the ski industry. like maybe marketing or promotion something that i could do that would keep me in the scene but maybe not on the mountain anything that would make it seem like i was still there

if i was paralyzed and had to ski in one of those chairs id definately pioneer the new school of that shit. id mount fat skis on the bottom and huck like 300 footers and laugh because i wouldnt feel anything. id bust out on rails and shit too. i cant wait.

go to physio more than 4 times a week, and hit the gym 4 times a week, get a program going, do that for 12 months then see how you feel. the break it down and bit and start to ski more and less working out.
