I was wondering how many of the NS community has been to Belgrade. I am going there this Friday, and I would like to know how safe the city is? and what is worth going to see? I know after Kosovo became independent there was a lot of hate towards foreigners, and this is still a major issue in Serbia. If anybody could give me some information on Belgrade or the situation in Serbia in general it be greatly appreciated. Hope to receive some posts.

Just like any eastern European capital... stay out of the slums at night, and in this case.. use the "i'm canadian" card if anything gets hairy. Everybody loves Canadians.. (except ann coulter)

Do you think it's a problem if I have Croatian stamps in my passport??? I travelled through Croatia a month ago to go skiing in Slovenia/Austria. I have heard that even that is an issue.
Please only serious posts...

no way you'll have a problems.Im croatian and live in croatia, and I travel million times a year trought slovenia, austria, seria etc...yeah sometimes it's a problem when you stop on stupid slovenian cop on boarder...sometimes might be nervous but only with croatian passport.no problems for you...And a little advice.this friday there will be a huge traffic trought croatia/slovenia because tourists are going here to croatia on vacation so I suggest not to go on highway boarders between croatia/slovenia because it's always big traffic...And if I can ask.what are you doing on balkan?

I have a good friend from Bosnia and she always tells me stories of when she goes back to visit Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, etc. From what I've heard from her they are all really beautiful places and much to do despite also being war torn in areas. She said there isn't much for tourists to worry about and they should just take advantage of what there is to enjoy. The food is super good. Dress nicely though...I guess what you wear and fashion is pretty big in the bigger cities. She said people would laugh at me if I wear basketball shorts and a t shirt like I usually do. Apparently there's a ton of good lookin girls there too, haha.
