Weed and Parents

yo so ive been taking hits from the bong under the radar for quite a long time now, and recently my parents found my stash. I got in trouble, talked it over with them, and avoided too much trouble. Except for that my dad caught me smokin 2 nites ago. How can i really talk to these guys theyre being all gay and shit how it will Screw up my life an shit like that.

Well are you a good student? Have a job? Don't get in trouble?  Talk up your advantages.  If you have been smoking for awhile and it hasn't affected your good grades, social life, and job then tell them that.  Tell them you do it responsibly and safely.  Only when you don't have to drive or go out in public so you can't get in trouble for it.  Showing your parents you are responsible and safe with it is probably the best bet.  If you tell them that you won't do it again and you get caught then you lose their trust and could bring UA's.

There's been countless threads about this exact subject. Try searching around NS for a while to find some ideas.

But in order for us to really help you, we need more info. Each situation is very different. How old are you? What kind of upbringing did your parents give you?

Each situation is different but just talk to your parents like a mature person and bring information about mary jane to the table when talking to your parents. If you know your stuff, and are a smooth talker then its hard for your parents to not let you smoke.

alright im going to be a junior, 16 y/o, did ok in school, like b's and c+'s and theyre giving me loads of shit for being "a bad influence", and how ill end up like all my other buddies and cousins who get kicked out of school, and ski-bum out in colorado-my ideal future. they want me to write a letter on what i did wrong, and explain how weed makes me feel what should i write in it.

Personally I'd tell my parents to go fuck off if they tried to make me write an essay about what I did wrong. But I don't know your parents or your relationship with them.

Again, I can't know if you are a casual smoker or are a believer in its "powers" (yes I realize that word doesn't work very well, but it's all I could think of) and want to continue to smoke for years to come. I'm someone who thinks that sweet ganja will cure many ailments currently being treated with all sorts of synthesized medicines that will fuck with your brain and your body. If you're like me then you'll have no trouble writing a paper about budda. Again, PM me if you want to get more personal about the subject, no homo.

My friend got caught so many times he just told his parents that he wasnt going to stop because it was the shit- not recommended

You should be real and say that weed makes you feel good and have fun doing not very interesting things and that your sorry it offends them but you think it isnt as bad as alchohal, just bullshit

I can't stress this enough, respect your parents! Remember, it is their house. I live with housemates and if I said I was going to smoke in the house they would straight up ask me to leave, because it's just house rules. I know it sounds lame now, but as long as they support you, you have to go along with what they say. When you move out and are taking care of your own shit then you can do as you please, as long as it doesn't interfere with others, obviously. If you think you stand a chance at reasoning with them about this, then you should. Be patient.

wow thanks for everyone that actually puts the effort in this, I have gotten caught once and my mom thinks its the worse thing anyone could do and it'll ruin my life and I'd turn into some drug addict haha

got caught once and I'm really scared of getting caught again cuz I told her i wouldn't do it anymore.  I was too scared to speak up

It's really not that difficult to not get caught. Just be sneaky about it. Whether smoking at home or out with some friends, just take a few minutes before you smoke to assess your situation and to find the best way to smoke.

The exact same thing happened to me last night.

My mom found my stash and a little billy, she was chill about the weed but she thought the billy was some crack pipe or something. She kept asking me if I was on cocaine or smoking crack!

After just going through the whole talking to my parents thing, you just have to be blatantly honest with them and lay everything out on the table. (not your weed, this is a metaphor, idiot) If you tell them you do it responsibly, don't drive after and don't do it during school or interfering with school there isn't much else they can say.
