Saudi Arabia willing to increase oil production if needed

off topic a little but there was a thread on tgr with a link to some news article. apparently (no shit) the reason we are in iraq is because of oil. we all know that but i guess they finally came out and said it publicly.

more oil production is bad!  i don't care if it lowers gas prices, these lower gas prices will likely increase consumption.  India and China need more strict emissions standards, the US needs fuel alternatives, better public transportation.  high gas prices are a blessing in disguise.  how can anyone sympathize with the saudis, dont you realize they are trying to increase profits- thats the reason they called the fucking meeting, not cause they care about americans wallets.

clarify your argument, it makes no sense.

supply and demand.  increase supply (saudi oil production), price lowers (to us, at the gas pump) and consumption increases (more profits for saudis).  more consumption = more pollution = bad

yeah we are in iraq over oil. sadaam was gonna fuck us big if we didnt do something (that backfired).
