2. The Jimi Hendrix Experience
3. Led Zepplin
4. The Rolling Stones
5. Green Day/Nirvana (tie, because both brought their scenes to the mainstream)

oh I meant say the mean comment that was undoubtedly coming to lagwagon...but prince was quite influential...maybe not top 5 influential..since he had his own type of music unlike anything else really
