I have seen so many of these summer setups and i have some of the materials (ramp, pvc pipes, a spot to put it). I am wondering what I should use for run in materials that works best for skis to get speed. Also, what should I put the pvc pipes onto (four 10' length x 1'' diameter), should I make a base type and them put them on the top, that seems like it works the best in the videos I have seen. A big issue I have is how I should connect the pvc to the base, should I nail them in, screw it in, and where i should put them in the pipe. One of my ideas would be to screw it through the top of the pipes, but would that be a bad idea.
Tips on how to build this would be nice. A short tutorial on how you built yours if you did would be great. I am willing to spend some money, but spending none would be best.
