Ski movies vs skate movies and such

after seeing the atomic skis 44 days trailer on the front page i thought about why there arent more ski companies making vids. all the big movies are made by production companies and its mostly about who can get the sickest riders in their vids doing the sickest tricks. all the big skate movies on the other hand are mostly done by board companies or shoe companies or something like that, there arent really any matchsticks or poor boyz or level 1s of the skate vid market. anybody wonder why that is? i think it would be cool if more companies made their own vids cuz it would provide a new way to get a sense of what a company's image is. it would be sweet to watch a vid with all k2 riders and compare it to a vid made by armada or line or something. thoughts?

i think it would be really sick if more companies did. now with that said the current film companies would still need to be around. more competition means that all fims would need to be stepped up. this would also mean that the riding would need to be stepped up too. More movies would also mean that more riders would be needed or that they would need to be in multiple movies. This could mean more of an oportunity for riders to have an oportunity to succeed and potentially make a living at the sport we all love. I think that ski companies wouldnt put out huge movies like PBP and level 1, just short 10-20 min ones that would be cheap and come with product, the main production companies would make the big ones that we all know and love. but it would be a good way for ski companies to show off their riders, product, and their niche in the ski industry
