Caddying

Most caddies are like 15.

you'll be straight, if your caddying at some rich club youll just carry their bag and the golfers could care less about a kids opinion on their golf game, unless they know you and know that you know golf

really depends on where your caddy. My buddy is a caddy out on Martha Vineyard, and he needs to know alot about golf. Your best bet is to find someone who caddys at one of the clubs near you and ask them. Also look into grounds crew at a golf course, I did it for a summer and it was a great time. Good luck man

You can "do" it and make the standard wage the course pays you, but in all honesty you wont be very popular with people. I caddyed in my younger days and on some days made 400 in tips, but ive also been golfing since i could walk....

My whole goal in life now is to be a pro caddy, I am sure Tiger's caddy gets about a mil a year from him.

i caddied for a summer (i think 2 summers ago) and it fucking sucked.. basically your a golfer's bitch for 3-4 hours and only get paid like 30 bucks.. seems like a sorta legit deal getting 10 per hour but they made us get to the golf course at like 6 30 am and i wouldnt get out on the course till like 8, not be done until 12.. so thats like 6 hours for 30 bucks. if you can deal with that then its pretty easy but it definitely sucks when its real hott out.

but i would say if you already know people you can caddy for (like setting up a tee-time a day or two early with whomever so you dont have to be there until that time) then thats really dope, and usually you get paid a lot more. i once got $400 for a 3 day tournament, 18 holes per day.

caddying's pretty dope. I make about 120-200 a day, and work from like 6:30 until 12. You don't really need to know much, but if you can help them and the shot you helped them with turns out well you can get some pretty big tips

i caddied when i was 12. you dont need to know anything about golf, its not like the pros where the caddy needs to know the course. you just carry the bag, dont really talk much, tend the flag, and rake the bunkers if you feel like it. its pretty hard work but i was also 12 so that mightve contributed to it. if it pays well for being 18, do it. its fun being outside all day

i do it now not that great of pay, reall job will be better

more than that if you can believe it. stevey williams actually has a small sponsorship with Nike and Tiger gives him bonuses out of his ass. helps him with his foundation and shit. i think i heard he made 2.7 last year


but yeah caddying is a lot of fun if you enjoy being around the game and can handle making decisions for other people that may not be the best. cuz you'll have to do it at one point

i caddied for bill parcells at saratoga national golf course. he hooked me up with $100. big money in that shit if you do it at the right places and if you have knowledge of the course and the game.

idk if u saw an add or something, but most courses don't have caddys anymore

i have had a bad experience with caddying...

last summer i worked at a club in westchester county new york, so if you know where that is you may be thinkin that i could get big money...

not the case. golfers just dont take caddies all that often now. carts are better, because they dont have to walk, and the members rarely asked for help with shots. the only real help i ever gave was reading greens for a few of the members. the club i worked at had 25 caddies and we had to go in 3-4 days a week. on the weekdays, that gave me a 1 in 4 chance of gettin a loop each day. if i didnt get a loop, then my boss would sit me on the bench from 7 am until noon, sometimes 2 pm. i would go home very frustrated, with nothing to show for 6 hours lost and wakin up super early. on weekends, everyone has to show up so there was 25 caddies and usually half made it out. maybe my caddymaster was just insane,  but overall, it sucked. when i did get a loop, double bag 18 holes would be 100 bucks. my record for 1 day was 27 holes double bag for 260 dollars in 5 hrs. but its all canceled out by the many times ive come home with nothing

i started caddying when i was 15, the summer going into my soph year of highschool, the money was sickkkkk straight up cash, and u have no schedule and could go whenver u want. I am now 18 yrs old and graduating highschool this year. Ive been caddying since and will coninue to do it for the summers to come. I relaly had no golf expericen and didnt know much about anything. The members dont really ask u for advice, and if they ask u to read a putt, just straight up tell them, im not very expericend at reading putts. But make sure u NEVER lose their ball, and always have the yardage ready for them before they get to their ball.  Caddying is madd easy and u can meet some reallly good people doing it.

usually you will get a caddy handguide thing. i got a big packet of things i need to know. where i caddy we make like 100 from tips all you need to know is how toread a putt and the yards. the rest is knowing where their ball is, the bags, cleaning clubs and balls, the pin, raking traps. all stuff you dont need to play to know how to do. and usually you will be put with a more experienced caddy who will help  so make sure to tell them you have never caddyied b4 so they will put u with one.
