so someone stole all my interac card infomation this week. they either swiped my card in a fake interac machine at a store, or intercepted the signals from a pay at the pump. they had stolen it and it was sent to montreal from edmonton within 20 minutes. and within 30 minutes, the d bags took out $1500 dollars and deposited a $1000 fake check and took that money out. and then the bank shut down my account.
i went to the bank, and they say that my money will be refunded, i had to get a new card and PIN, but im still pretty chapped that my information was taken and sent across the country so quickly. it was more of an inconvience than everything. but it can happen to anyone. its happened to alot of my friends too. im pretty pissed off that some low life fuck bag made a quick $2500 off of me. fuck him.
watch yourself. dont let the clerk swipe your card, he could be a scammer, you cant trust anyone these days. i wish i could meet one of these plugs in person. it would not be a enjoyable experience for them.

i wouldnt have that problem. it pays to be poor sometimes :(
sucks though dude. it brings up an interesting point actually. all US cards (from what i hear) are banned in canada because of how much fraud is up there. apparently theres a lot. whenever i go to canada i have to call the bank and give them my travel dates.

not true. I'm from the states, but I go to school in canada, and I use my US debit card at school all the time. i think they're actually better than canadian debit cards, because you can also scan them as credit cards.

when people scam credit cards they should take it easy because the bank notices it because they spend thousands of dollars but if they spend steadily the bank will never notice or call. those people are idiots and if i ever confront one i'll go "shoot em up on their ass"
