stocklis are pretty legit in the racing catagory. I think they just make twin tips because they have to for business. elan is probably my choice.

Elan and Stockli make pretty sick freeride skis. Just because they don't make twins doesn't mean they aren't legit. All park skis seem to be the same these days anyhow. Really, how different is an AR 6 going to feel from a salomon whatever?

Very very different if we're going by that "core" word. Yes, they're both in it to make money, but one actually involves themselves in their demographic to create a specific product. Whereas the others see the margins shifting so they appeal to their pocket books.

maybe you dont like elan or stoeckli but its a great ski for someone who has no interest in skiing switch or whatever.. great for someone who is racing... newschoolers hating on non twintippers is just lame and ignorant.. come on kiddies. respectness.

It's like they care about you. No ski company could ever do that. I wish they would quit fronting and just be honest that they don't pay attention to what you say.

I would say buton is the least core ski company, sure they dont make hard goods, but many skiers buy their outerware. And they bash skiing in ads and such. Unless Burton changes their ways, I say screw em.

when a ski company comes out with clothing of equal quality with the features I want and gore-tex, by all means I will support them. But right now, ski companies overall make shitty clothing particularly for people who ski in wet area. Honestly sessions and burton make, IMO, the best clothing out there. Too bad ski companies can't figure out how to improve their $300 10,000/10,000 jackets. Until then, give me my burton with gore-tex for the same price.
