What else do i need

if i bought a canon hg10 just like the basic package from amazon(camera, batter, component cables) what else would you recomend buying? (ex. lenses, tripod )

...Or a wide angle depending on the effect you want.  If you're not gonna be doin follow cams, get a tripod.  They make shots look much better.

i'd go wide angle for sure. i may pick one up for my cam soon. the reason i said this, is because they should help a lot for follow cams, and fisheyes just seem more like a skateboard thing. i think they make shots look sort of crappy, unless they are used correctly, which IMO, is not easy to do. they look good if your close up but its hard to get real close with skiing

definitly get a tripod, and invest in another battery, a legit case, and load up on tapes
