Aspen is open this weekend?

So i heard a rumour that aspen is opening this weekend (june 14th/15th) and will have some jibs up? Can anyone confirm where/when and if it's true?

Yes, Ajax will be open for the food and wine festival. I think only chair 3 will be open. No idea about jibs.

I will be in Utah.

yea little nell will be open i think?? like their spring park was. they had a picnic table and two flat rails. then two little jumps. i have no clue if it will be the same

I doubt there will be jibs, it's ajax, yes they did have some this year, but I doubt now. They will be open 10-2 friday through sunday I'm pretty sure. If you want jibs go to the summer glacier at snowmass (i'm going tomorrow) which is pretty sick.

that was like 10 years ago, they were open till june 10th last year, the 2 day difference between this year and last just had to do with when sunday fell.

ASPEN – Skiers who are still are not ready for summer to start will get another chance to take to the slopes this weekend.

The Aspen Skiing Company said Monday that it will open up Aspen Mountain from June 13 to 15 for skiers and snowboarders.

The company says record winter snowfall has left the mountain covered with snow, leaving behind an average of more than 3 feet of snow on the upper slopes.

So, for this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aspen will open seven runs and about 45 acres of mostly intermediate terrain that is accessible by the Ajax Express chairlift.

The slopes will be open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Aspen/Snowmass Premier, Silver and 6-and-under passholders are free. All other Aspen/Snowmass passholders pay a discounted rate; adult passholders pay $19, youth and senior passholders pay $17 and child season passholders pay $12. Adult single day tickets will be $29 per day, youth and seniors will pay $26 and children's tickets will be $18. Tickets will be sold at the Aspen Mountain ticket kiosk on Gondola Plaza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily beginning Thursday. Regular summer rates will be in effect for foot passengers

yeah no jibs just look at the gondola cam. the place where the jibs were there is no snow. there is jut a big pile that could be flattened out. but you would have to walk down the entire mountain so its impossible.

drive up to aspen, take a right where it says snowmass, which is before aspen, you'll see the turn at the intersection. than you just drive up all the way the snowmass road and....yeah, its pretty simple. you have to either have a pass to take the lift up to the glacier or just pay like 6 bucks i think. I just whent yesterday and it was pretty sick, but I guess your not supposed to go during the week because theres a camp going on, but they let us in since were v.i.p, haha. yeah I hope that helps
