A bunch of questions about the Line Anthems

So I'm looking for a versatile ski that I would use for mostly park but occasionally all-mountain and maybe some powder. I do some air, but definitely nothing big, what I mostly do is rails. What worries me is that I am pretty small (5'4" and 110lbs, although I will grow significantly over the summer), so is a 93 waist to wide for tech on rails? I like it for stability in the air and footprint for all mountain, but I'm wondering if 93 might be a little too wide on rails for a small guy. I am also looking for a fairly soft, playful ski (as my last pair were pretty stiff, especially for my weight). What do you think?
Also, regarding durability, I've heard some stuff about bad durability. Anyone care to elaborate?
And regarding length, at 5'4" (although I'll probably grow a good bit before I use em), would 161 be good for what I'm doing?
Thanks

from the sounds of it, the Anthems would be fine for you. the fact that you are 5'4" wouldnt really matter, because the anthems come in a 161, 171, and 178 so you wouldnt have any trouble finding the right size. read my anthem review and pm me if you have any more questions about them...

aight so i didnt fully answer your post.
as far as duribility is concerned, after a seasons worth of use on mine, they are still holding up well. the topsheets arent the most durable ever, but by no means are they somehow weak. the fatty base and edge technology is amazing as well, and my bases and edges are nearly flawless still. seriously great.
in my opinion 93 underfoot isnt too fat at all on rails, in fact ive found that it actually helps to balance yourself a little bit. anything bigger than 93 would probably start to affect the performance but 93 is fine. for you i would probably go for the 171s seeing as tthat you are gonna grow, and the center mounting makes them ski shorter. im 5 foot 10 and im on the 178s and they are fine for me as a park, every day ski.

If youre worried about topsheet chipping then just get the 09 anthems. I have the 08's and they chipped down to the core, but it doesnt affect the ski's performance af course. Plus the 09 graphics are insanely gnarly. Also the 171 should be good for you if you're a pretty strong skier. Like that last guy said the centrmoint makes them shorter AND the anthems are rediculously light and weigh like nothing so yeah. And they are really flexible due to that hinge thing in them. Get them.

are the 09 anthems more durable and less prone to chipping?

thats the rumor. my rep was saying the topsheet has been beefed a bit. i thought about scratching mine to see if they chip, but they havent even been mounted yet, so im gonna refrain from that.

i used my 09 anthems for a good two months of park riding and they look nearly brand new. there are a few chunks out of the top sheet, but nothing that won't happen to anything skiing park every day for two months.

anthems are a perfect park/allmt ski. the 93 waist wont bother you at all, in fact it will probably help your balance on rails + they are super light. go with the smaller lengths for your size and weight, and if you go for a 08 model you won't have any durability problems. my pair held up great after a week of hard riding.. get them, i'm sure you'll love them!
